Some of us have gotten so good at holding everything together… that people forget we might need support too.

The strong friend.
The dependable one.
The one everyone calls.
The one who keeps showing up.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, we stopped checking in with ourselves.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, I don’t just want to post pretty quotes and keep it moving. I want to create space for real conversations. Honest ones. The kind that remind us we are still human underneath the pressure, the performance, the responsibilities, and the “I’m good” responses.

A lot of us are carrying things quietly.

Stress.
Burnout.
Grief.
Caretaking.
Financial pressure.
Emotional exhaustion.
Fear.
Transitions.
Loneliness.
Expectations.

And sometimes we carry it so long that it starts feeling normal.

This is your reminder to pause.
To notice.
To come back to yourself.

But what really stays with me…
is this.

Sisterhood.

The kind that lets you be soft and loud, carefree and held all at once.

The kind that laughs with you in the moment and holds you steady when life isn’t as light.

Joy like this is medicine!
It’s remembering that we get to live, not just carry.

Grateful for the women who hold me up and hold me down. Always.

And it just wouldn’t be a Recy night if it didn’t end with dancing in the middle of the street, taking 90s reminiscent photos, and sitting in the car until 2am because the love is just too juicy and the laughs are just too big to let go!
