We're excited to share that CNSide is expanding its capabilities through a new collaboration with Genomic Testing Cooperative to integrate next-generation sequencing (NGS) into the CNSide® CSF assay platform.

By combining guideline-recognized circulating tumor cell (CTC) enumeration with comprehensive DNA and RNA profiling from a single CSF specimen, this collaboration is designed to provide clinicians with a more comprehensive molecular view to help inform patient management and research.

This milestone reflects our continued commitment to advancing precision diagnostics and supporting better clinical insights for patients with CNS cancers.

announces a collaboration to integrate Genomic Testing Cooperative's next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology into the CNSide Diagnostics' cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) assay platform.

The collaboration is expected to enable comprehensive DNA and RNA profiling across hundreds of clinically relevant biomarkers from a single CSF specimen, extending from guideline-recognized CTC enumeration into the guideline-recognized DNA and tumor-derived DNA analytic layer within one integrated platform.

The collaboration advances ’s three-pillar CNS strategy:
- Targeted led by ™ (rhenium Re186 obisbemeda)
- Precision diagnostics anchored by the CNSide CSF platform
- -enabled data analytics through the Company’s strategic
partnership with @‌Ephemeral Technologies

The latest NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology for Central Nervous System Cancers continue to recognize the importance of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis in the diagnosis and management of leptomeningeal metastases (LM).

For patients receiving intrathecal therapy, the updated guidelines recommend serial CSF cytology every 4-8 weeks, alongside MRI and clinical evaluation, reinforcing the value of longitudinal disease monitoring.

As CSF monitoring becomes an established part of LM management, CNSide® Tumor Cell Enumeration (TCE) is designed to complement conventional cytology by providing quantitative tumor cell assessment to support diagnosis and treatment monitoring over time.

Clinical data from the FORESEE study demonstrated that CNSide more than doubled the sensitivity of tumor detection compared with conventional cytology in matched CSF samples while providing quantitative tumor cell data to support longitudinal assessment.

Expanding access to advanced CSF-based diagnostics:
Payer coverage helps more healthcare providers access the tools they need to support the diagnosis and management of patients with leptomeningeal metastases (LM).

The CNSide® CSF Tumor Cell Enumeration (TCE) CSF test is covered for approximately 126 million commercial lives, representing significant progress in expanding access for patients who may benefit from advanced CSF-based diagnostic testing.

This achievement is part of our ongoing commitment to:
- Expanding patient access to innovative diagnostics
- Supporting clinicians with actionable diagnostic insights
- Advancing options for the LM community

We're proud of the progress we've made and remain focused on continuing to broaden access to CNSide while advancing our comprehensive CNS oncology diagnostic platform, with a goal of more than 150 million covered lives by the end of 2026.

Navigating a serious diagnosis can be overwhelming. Understanding insurance coverage and financial resources shouldn't add to that burden.

That's why CNSide Diagnostics has launched a new Patient Financial Services section on our website, designed to help patients and caregivers access information about coverage, reimbursement support, and financial assistance resources related to CNSide testing.

Our goal is to make it easier for patients and healthcare providers to find the information they need and better understand available support options throughout the testing process.

What could your CSF cytology reports be missing?

In a matched analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples from patients with suspected leptomeningeal metastases (LM), CNSide® Tumor Cell Enumeration (TCE) demonstrated additional detection compared to standard cytology.

In a study by Kumthekar et al. (2024), which evaluated 120 matched CSF samples from 26 patients, 40% of cases that were CNSide-positive were cytology-negative (n=48 samples), highlighting cases where malignant cells were identified by CNSide despite negative cytology results.

These findings add to a growing body of evidence suggesting that advanced CSF tumor cell analysis may help improve detection sensitivity in LM, a condition that remains challenging to diagnose using traditional methods alone.

Data: Kumthekar et al. 2024 "The HER2 flip-HER2 amplification of tumor cells in the cerebrospinal fluid of breast cancer patients with leptomeningeal disease: implications for treating the LM tumor with anti-HER2 therapy."
Results may not be generalizable to all patients. Clinical utility should be interpreted in the context of standard diagnostic evaluation.
