Operation Stacey Updates on My Ovarian Cancer fight. With a significant history of cancer in her family she had genetic testing and found to be a carrier of the BRCA1 gene.

After a friend encouraged Stacey to get a mammogram in December that came back with abnormal results she started a long road to finding that she is a mutant as she calls herself. She went on the proactive approach and had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. Then she was to have a prophylactic hysterectomy but that changed everything. ues as she know has had a staging surgery to make sure that they have removed all cancer that can be seen and is starting 4 months of chemotherapy starting next week. It will be journey for her and Jeff to travel and she just needs all the love of family and friends and some support to get her to the end of this journey.
