Your healthcare team matters. 💙

The best results happen when specialists collaborate - not compete.

Whether over Zoom or in person, I love partnering with providers like Francisco Carrillo, DDS, MSD, FACS and Ryan Cody, DDS, MSD to help patients breathe better, sleep better, and thrive.

Because when the right team comes together, patients win. 🙌🏻

I got to rock with one of Houston’s coolest orthodontists, Dr. Ryan Cody. 🎹🦷

Before becoming a Craniofacial Orthodontist, Ryan spent time serving with Operation Smile, helping children around the world affected by cleft lip and palate. Those experiences helped shape the passion and purpose he brings to his work today.🙌🏻

From a little Michael Jackson on the piano to reviewing CBCTs and discussing patient care, it was a great day getting to know Ryan and his incredible assistant, Maya.

I’m grateful to collaborate with providers who are committed to changing lives through airway-focused, craniofacial care. Looking forward to helping many shared patients breathe, sleep, and thrive. 💜

I just returned from the AOSCOS 2026 conference and my mind is blown. 🤯

AOSCOS brings together orthodontists, oral surgeons, sleep physicians, airway-focused dentists, and other healthcare professionals who are passionate about helping patients breathe, sleep, and function better.

We discussed treatments such as MARPE (Miniscrew-Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion) and orthognathic (double jaw) surgery, but what struck me most was how often the conversation came back to one thing: sleep.

Sleep-disordered breathing, Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS), and obstructive sleep apnea don’t just affect energy levels. They can impact growth, development, airway health, facial structure, overall health, and quality of life.

Many of the treatments discussed at the conference are designed to address the structural and functional factors that contribute to airway restriction and poor sleep.

As a myofunctional therapist, it was inspiring to learn from so many brilliant providers who are working together to help patients breathe better, sleep better, and thrive.

And if you hear me mispronounce “orthognathic surgery” in this reel… 😆 it was my second take. It serves as a good reminder that we’re all human, we’re all learning, and perfection isn’t the goal—helping people is. ❤️
