ReelAbilities: Houston Film & Arts Festival is a FREE city-wide film and arts festival dedicated to presenting films, art exhibitions, performances, and speaker that celebrate the lives, stories, and talents of people with disabilities and enrich Houston’s culture, diversity, and inclu

sion efforts. Core Values:

- Increase awareness about people with disabilities
- Change perception and remove stigma surrounding people with disabilities
- Eliminate barriers to accessibility in all aspects of life: arts and culture, education, and employment
- Collaboration across arts disciplines, organizations, communities
- Arts and inclusion education that will inspire the next generation of artists, audiences, future leaders, and employers

We were honored to host Olympic gold medalist and Yankees pitcher Jim Abbott, as well as history-making Tony Award-winning actress Ali Stroker. ReelArt 2026 was THE place to be!

Batter up! ⚾️ We are thrilled to feature "Rally Caps" as the feature film at our ReelEducation Kickoff at Houston Public Library on July 22 from 1:00-3:00pm!

This heartwarming coming-of-age story follows Jordy, a Little League pitcher recovering from an injury, who heads to summer camp and forms an unforgettable bond with Lucas, a deaf catcher navigating life with a new cochlear implant. Together, this dynamic duo proves that true teamwork goes way beyond the scoreboard.

ReelAbilities Houston is partnering with the Houston Public Library for our ReelEducation Kickoff event at the Central Library on Wednesday, July 22, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This engaging, family-friendly program features a screening of "Rally Caps," a feature-length film exploring disability and inclusion. Our ReelEducation initiative is all about reaching youth across Greater Houston with meaningful film experiences that challenge perceptions, reduce stigma, and promote acceptance. Bring the whole family to the Central Library to learn, reflect, and help us build a more inclusive community. Admission is completely FREE, but seating is limited and registration is required.
