We were SO blessed to be a part of this!! Now we head back to reality.... nobody cooking 3 meals a day, fishing and kayaking when we want, all the snacks and drinks we could want and the BEST company!

Well, Kolten Hudson got his big buck yesterday! I will post all the details and pics from our week, after we get home. Just wanted to share this Pic, and let y'all know that Kolt did it!! And all 6 kids here got theirs! So amazing!

Kolten Hudson and I are in Michigan, for his deer hunt, that was donated to him. We are having the BEST time. This place is absolutely stunning, and so peaceful. Tomorrow is the actual hunt, so wish him luck! Thank you to all the sponsors for this trip, especially Kent Woods, he hand picked Kolten for this amazing journey. Here are some pics so far 🥰🎗

Sorry, I didn't update on Friday. With the babies, our lives seem to always be running a race.

Anyway, Kolten saw the pediatric endocrinologist on Friday. Our last visit, his thyroid levels were off, so we had to see her. They did more extensive testing, and everything came back normal! Yay!

His uric acid level was slightly elevated, but they said we can do once a month visits again, unless something feels off with him, or he sees blood in his urine. (Thank you JESUS). Most of his labs are pretty normal again, so that was a huge sigh of relief for us 💛

Kolt did start getting his immunizations again! He will be getting 4, each time he goes in, to get caught back up. He will have every one he has had since birth, as they all are gone with the new cells now, and very important because he has no immune system now.

You would have thought he was 5 again, acting all scared about it.... lol! After all he has overcome, and this is what scared him! When he was finished, he said it wasn't bad, so he was all worked up for nothing!

Day +190

Every step we take forward, I feel like something comes up to set us back. I am PRAYING today was nothing, but my mama heart just is racing.

First, Koah got her cast off yesterday! Yaaayyy!!

Then, after her surgery, we came down to Houston for multiple appointments for Kolt. We met with the pediatric nephrologist... Kolten has been having high(ish) blood pressure consistently, the past couple months. And today, his uric acid was pretty elevated. She said there is no protein in his urine, so that is good. However, she wants to keep a close eye on this. She said it is in the level of people that have gout. She is going to do a 24 hour blood pressure test, he will wear a cuff around the clock to see if his BP drops when he sleeps, or if it is staying high. (She said maybe the excitement of coming in for testing raises it?) Anyway, he will be tested again tomorrow, and we will speak with her again, to see what happens next.

She did schedule out appointments once a week through September, which KILLS me, because Kolten and Brek have to miss school, and they LOVE school and (especially Kolten), has missed so much that he hates not being there. And I HAVE to start working full time, or we literally are going to lose everything. So pray it is nothing! My baby deserves to live a normal life for his senior year!

🙏 Going to bed tonight, I hear my little 6 year old saying his prayers... "please take care of my Chi-Chi (Kolten), because he is the best person and should get all the good stuff he ever wants, and my sissy is too"... he is so sweet. My goodness. I had to share, because this made my heart smile 😍

Today marks 6 months, and 5 days, since Kolten's SCT, and he feels and looks amazing! Koah has a procedure and gets the cast off on Wednesday, then we head to Houston for some major appointments, that are post 6 months. We are confident everything will still be perfect ❤️

We want to thank Make-A-Wish America for sending my family to the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus last night. It was such of a good time for all of us! Koah had the best time of her life! The only thing I really missed, is they don't have animals anymore 😭 But we still enjoyed ourselves!
