It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are three scans every woman over 50 should have. None of them require symptoms.

CT lung screening. 30 seconds. Detects lung cancer early in people with a smoking history.

BI-RADS 1 or 2: Normal or benign. You're good. See you next year.

BI-RADS 3: Probably nothing. A recheck in 6 months confirms it. Less than 2% chance of anything serious.

BI-RADS 4: Needs a closer look. That means a biopsy to get a clear answer. Most biopsies come back benign.

A callback is not a diagnosis. It's a question that needs a better answer.
