April is Cesarean Awareness Month. We don't know who needs to hear to this but birthing by c-section is birthing! It is a myth that mamas who birth by cesarean are somehow spared from pelvic floor issues. Nine months and longer of compensations and musculoskeletal changes plus possible attempts at pushing and scar tissue from being cut seven layers deep absolutely contribute to pelvic issues. It is never too late to seek help from a pelvic health therapist. We are here to help, whether your birth was two months ago, two years ago or two decades ago.
