"I think that the perception of what is happening when one does leave ANY nursery is the great issue that needs education.

If we train that it is okay for someone to leave one church in search of another AND it is also okay for one to outgrow church all together. This is far better than tearing down a system that provides support and comfort for many.

I allowed the deconstruction process to continue in my life to a place of peace with Christianity. I, like a woman who divorces her husband, focused on all the things that were wrong with the relationship.

Overtime, and as I have seen clients in therapy do with me who have divorced, I softened and healed. It was then that those clients realize there was good in the relationship and even times they enjoyed it. I know when they can talk about that, they have grown beyond the need to process it anymore."
