DID YOU KNOW?
Validation is not the same as agreement.
One of the most healing things you can say to someone is:
"That makes sense."
Validation doesn't mean you agree with someone's actions or perspective. It simply communicates:
💚 "I see you."
💚 "I hear you."
💚 "Your feelings make sense given what you've experienced."
Research shows that when people feel emotionally validated, they're better able to regulate their emotions, think more clearly, and engage the logical parts of the brain needed for problem-solving. Feeling understood helps the nervous system shift from a state of threat toward a greater sense of safety.
Sometimes people don't need solutions first.
They need connection first.
"Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." — Romans 12:15 (NIV) ❤️
Healing often begins when someone feels truly heard.
