What if your body reacts before your conscious mind even knows why?
You pull away. You tense up. You take control. You say yes when something inside you is saying no.
Then your mind catches up and tries to explain it.
Maybe the question isn't always, “Why am I doing this?”

“What does my body already know that I haven't become aware of yet?”

I was diagnosed with ADHD.

And now a lot of things about me make more sense. 😂

Why do I leave notes everywhere? Why do I grab my phone and two seconds later forget what I was going to do? Why do I start drinking coffee, remember something else, go do it, and find my cold coffee two hours later?

And why, when I'm creating something, can I disappear into my own head and completely lose track of time?

For years, I just thought, “This is how I am.”

Now I'm starting to understand how my brain works.

And I don't see ADHD as an excuse. Some of these things can be frustrating as hell. But I'm also realizing that some of the things I really like about myself may be connected to the same brain.

I'm curious. I'm constantly creating. I'm always questioning how something could be different or better. And when most people have one idea, somehow my brain decides I need another 999. 😂

So the diagnosis didn't change who I am.

It just helped me understand myself a little better.
