Hand-foot syndrome is a well-recognized toxicity of capecitabine—but it can present in unexpected ways.

This case report describes a patient with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma who developed grade 2 capecitabine-associated hand-foot syndrome with rare ge***al involvement.

For advanced practitioners, recognizing atypical presentations of treatment-related toxicities can be critical to timely assessment and management.

📊 A focused educational intervention can make a measurable difference in oncogenomic proficiency among oncology advanced practitioners.

In a recent study, many APs reported limited training and proficiency related to genetics and genomics, including uncertainty around ordering and interpreting tumor genomic profiling. Following a dedicated oncogenomics course, participants showed statistically significant improvement across all six proficiency measures evaluated (p < .001).
