When my students tell me that can’t do tree posture I remind them of all the different variations. This student tried to tell me he couldn’t do it, and when I turned around this is what I saw. Uniquely Grounded Yoga, everyone can do yoga, yoga for all abilities.

I am so grateful that I have had the opportunity to share yoga with so many different students in the last few months: The Chesapeake Connection, Arc of Southern Maryland, Unified Fitness in Calvert County, and Middle School students.

A beautiful spot for a relaxing yoga class. My students showed so many different variations of tree posture: from laying down, to support from a tree, and standing on a tree stump. We had such a fun day!

Yoga is for everyone! There are so many benefits of yoga, but I have found it to be especially helpful for special needs populations. Yoga helps with emotional regulation, sensory integration, socialization, communication, and community connection.
