Meet Dr. Omid Baniahmad, a new cardiac electrophysiologist at the HH Heart Center! ❤️

Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Dr. Baniahmad’s interest in medicine began at a young age after sports injuries sparked a fascination with anatomy and physiology.

He’s excited to join the Heart Center’s team-first culture and care for patients across our community.

Outside of work, Dr. Baniahmad enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, trail running, cooking Persian food and exploring peaceful places in nature. 🌿

Help us welcome Dr. Baniahmad to the Heart Center team!

Huntsville Hospital’s Structural Heart Program has earned Transcatheter Valve Certification from the American College of Cardiology! ❤️

This certification recognizes programs that demonstrate a commitment to quality, safety and program excellence while following established standards for transcatheter valve care and continually working to strengthen care processes and improve patient outcomes.

Huntsville Hospital is one of only five hospitals in Alabama to hold this certification. This achievement reflects the collaboration, dedication and commitment of our entire Structural Heart team.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this possible!

Our Renewed Hearts Celebration brought former heart surgery patients back together with the surgeons, nurses and team members who helped care for them along the way.

Every patient’s journey is different, but each one is supported by an entire team working toward the same goal: a successful procedure, a strong recovery and a healthier tomorrow.

Since our first open-heart surgery in 1981, 45 years ago, thousands of patients have trusted us with their hearts. Celebrating their lives after heart surgery is a beautiful reminder of why this work matters.

To our patients: Thank you for allowing us to be part of your stories. You will always be a part of our heart community. You did it!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. S. Allan Petty, to the Heart Center!

Dr. Petty knew he wanted to become a physician while working as an EKG technician, where his fascination with the heart and passion for patient care inspired him to pursue a career in cardiology and electrophysiology.

Drawn to the Heart Center's reputation for innovative, patient-first care, Dr. Petty is excited to serve the growing North Alabama community.

When he's not caring for patients, Dr. Petty enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, traveling, playing golf and exploring the Huntsville area.

We were proud to join HH Lincoln Health in celebrating the official ribbon cutting for Heart Center Lincoln in Fayetteville, Tenn. this week!

A big congratulations to Dr. David Smull, Stephanie Rives, NP, and the Heart Center Lincoln team as they continue growing the practice and caring for patients across Lincoln County and the surrounding communities.

The impact is already being felt. Since opening in June, Heart Center Lincoln has:
❤️ Completed approximately 150 clinic visits
❤️ Interpreted nearly 200 cardiac images
❤️ Provided telemedicine consultations for 20 hospitalized patients

Most importantly, those patients were able to receive the heart care they needed while staying close to home.

Heart Center Lincoln is the newest addition to Huntsville Hospital's Heart Center regional network, helping connect more communities with high-quality cardiovascular care.

Welcome to the Heart Center family, Lincoln! 🎉

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Justin Halbe to the Heart Center! ❤️

Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Dr. Halbe's journey to medicine began during an engineering seminar in college, when he realized he'd rather use medical technology to care for patients than design it. That decision led him to a career in cardiology, where he has spent nearly a decade providing heart care and serving in physician leadership roles.

Today, he's excited to care for patients across North Alabama through the Heart Center. Outside the hospital, you'll likely find him spending time with his wife and three boys, whether they're hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing or enjoying just about any outdoor adventure together.

Welcome to the team, Dr. Halbe! We're excited to have you here.

These honors reflect the team's dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with heart failure.

We're incredibly grateful for their hard work and proud of this well-deserved national recognition. 👏

For some people living with heart failure, everyday activities can become increasingly difficult despite medications and other treatments.

We recently completed our first Barostim™ procedure, offering a new treatment option for eligible patients with systolic heart failure. The implantable device works with the body's natural signals to help improve symptoms and quality of life without placing hardware inside the heart.

We are proud to continue bringing advanced cardiovascular treatments to patients across the Tennessee Valley. ❤️
