Let's talk about lettuce, because there's a lot of it headed to the Brandon SD Farmers Market tomorrow (and also to the first Beresford Farmer's Market on Wednesday!)

If you're wanting value for your money, head lettuce is a great way to go. Each head gets cut, put in a bag, then straight into the cooler. It doesn't get any fresher, and you end up with over half a pound of lettuce for only 4 dollars. Because it is fresh, it will last for a week plus, so no need to worry about using it quickly.

Along with heads of romaine and butterhead lettuce, this week we also have our leaf lettuce mix, salad turnips, radishes, bok choy, kale, cilantro, dill, rhubarb, and just a little broccolini. Start looking for beets next week, and carrots are coming along too!

We are back in Brandon tomorrow at the Brandon SD Farmers Market with radishes, salad turnips, rhubarb, bok choy, head lettuce, leaf lettuce, spinach, spring mix, arugula, chives, and herb and vegetable plants. Hope to see you there!

We're excited to be back at Brandon SD Farmers Market tomorrow from 9-1! We will have radishes, rhubarb, arugula, spinach, leaf lettuce, chives, and tomato and herb plants. Next week we'll have more lettuce and more herb plant variety soon too.

We've been quiet here for awhile, but the greenhouse is filling, plants are getting in the ground, and market season is already beginning! Due to recovering from illness and getting caught up, we will not be at the first Brandon SD Farmers Market tomorrow, but we will be there next week and most weeks this summer. We also plan to be back at the Beresford Farmer's Market, which begins the first Wednesday in June. Along with spring vegetables, don't forget that we also sell several varieties of tomato and herb plants! If you are still interested in a CSA share, our signup deadline was today but we'll accept sign ups for a little longer yet. We look forward to seeing everyone at the markets and all the delicious things to come!

New this year: extend the season to 22 weeks by signing up for the spring add on. These extra 4 weeks in May will feature a variety of salad greens and lettuces, radishes, bok choy, and more spring goodness.

We've been taking the winter slow, but ready or not, seed starting time is just around the corner. Check back here for a CSA signup in the next week. We will again be offering 18 weeks (June - October) of fresh produce in two size options. New this year is an optional spring share to get an extra 4 shares in May and satisfy your spring cravings for something green and fresh.

Place a vegetable order for pickup or delivery this week! With the season coming to a close, we want to find homes for all our remaining vegetables. This will likely be the last week for tomatoes and peppers. We also have broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, winter squash, potatoes, and some other odds and ends.
