✨ MYTH VS. FACT ✨

❌ MYTH: It’s rude if I don’t talk to my massage therapist during my massage.

✅ FACT: You absolutely do NOT have to entertain us. 😂

We need you to communicate if you’re uncomfortable, too hot or cold, need a pressure adjustment, or something doesn’t feel right.

But beyond that?

Want to chat? We can chat.
Want complete silence? Enjoy it.
Want to close your eyes and forget other humans exist for an hour? Also completely acceptable. 😂

This is your time.

You never need to fill the silence because you’re worried your massage therapist will think you’re being rude. We want you to relax in whatever way feels best for you. 💛

Happy Wednesday! You’ve made it halfway through the week!

😴 Did You Know?

Falling asleep during your massage is completely normal!

As you begin to relax, your nervous system can shift toward a calmer “rest and digest” state. Your breathing may slow, your muscles begin to relax, and sometimes… your brain decides it’s nap time. 😂

And yes—you might snore.

You might even do that little jump when you suddenly wake yourself up.

We don’t mind. We promise. 😂

You don’t need to stay awake or make conversation during your massage. Aside from communicating about things like pressure, temperature, or comfort, your only job is to relax.

So if you fall asleep on the table?

Enjoy the nap. 😴💛

Your body may have needed that rest more than you realized.

You’ve probably seen those little round marks and wondered… what exactly is cupping? 👀

Cupping uses suction to gently lift the skin and underlying tissues rather than applying downward pressure like many massage techniques do.

It can be incorporated into a massage session to help:
• Reduce feelings of muscle tension
• Encourage relaxation
• Support comfortable movement
• Work with areas that feel tight or restricted

And yes—the cups can sometimes leave those recognizable circular marks! They’re caused by the suction and can vary from person to person.

💛 Interested in trying cupping?

Ask about adding it to your next session!

✨ MYTH VS. FACT ✨

❌ MYTH: You should always avoid massage when you’re sore from a workout.

✅ FACT: It depends on the type and severity of the soreness!

That familiar muscle soreness a day or two after a tough workout doesn’t necessarily mean massage is off-limits. A gentler session may feel good and can be adjusted based on how your body is feeling that day.

However, sharp pain, significant swelling, bruising, or a suspected injury is a different story—and may need to be evaluated before massage.

The important part? Tell your massage therapist what you’ve been doing and what you’re feeling. We can adjust the session accordingly.

Massage doesn’t have to be intense to complement your recovery.

Ever leave a massage feeling great… and then notice some soreness later that day or the next morning?

A little tenderness can happen, especially when areas that are tight or sensitive have been worked.

Massage applies pressure and movement to your soft tissues, and your body may need a little time to respond afterward.

After your massage:
- Stay hydrated
-Gentle movement can feel great
-Try a warm shower or bath
-Give your body time to rest

Mild soreness should usually settle fairly quickly. And remember—deeper pressure doesn’t automatically mean a better massage. Always speak up if the pressure feels like too much!

Massage should work with your body, not against it.

You made it through Monday. Now take a minute to check in with your body.

Drop your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw.
Relax your hands.
Take one slow, deep breath.

Notice where you’re still holding onto the tension from today—and give yourself permission to release a little of it.

Your body carried you through the day. Give it a chance to rest tonight. 💛

And if that tension isn’t letting go quite so easily… it might be time to get a massage on the schedule.

Have you ever wondered what that heated tool in the massage room is for?

Heated scraping combines comfortable warmth with targeted massage work to help relax tight muscles, improve movement, and make stubborn areas easier to work with.

It can be especially helpful for tension in areas such as the neck, shoulders, back, and legs—and the intensity can always be adjusted to your comfort level.
