Thyme for her by Dr. Stephanie Lanham. With Rediscover Health, LLC .
Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to treat our bodies like projects instead of places we live.
We were taught how to shrink, compare, and manipulate our body size, but not how to monitor health and capacity outside of the number on the scale.
And when our bodies changed throughout life, whether because of stress, grief, hormones, motherhood, trauma, survival, or simply life itself… we thought that meant we failed.
But bodies are not meant to stay untouched by life.
Mine has changed numerous times, from anorexia as a child to losing my dad, being a mom, and more.
And for a long time, every change felt like something to fight. Because that’s what society tells us to do. I’m tired of toxic relationships with myself.
I’ve invested in learning something softer to help others with shared experiences learn to stay nourished.
My body changing does not mean my body failed me.
This June inside Thyme for Her Sisterhood, we’re talking about body image, nourishment, nervous system safety, and learning how to care for ourselves without constant body warfare.
