We train farmer carries in the gym for moments like this.

Strength isn’t just about lifting more weight.
It’s carrying your kids when they’re tired.
Bringing in all the groceries in one trip.
Moving furniture.
Doing yard work.
Getting up off the floor.
Keeping up with your family.

The goal isn’t just to be strong in the gym. The goal is to build strength that follows you into real life and keeps doing so at 40, 50, 60 and beyond.

Train for the life you want to keep living!

A: Learn to Lift is for you.

Q: You feel intimidated by all the equipment—or even by the other people in the gym?
A: Learn to Lift is for you.

You don’t need to get in shape before you start. You just need to start.

Welcome to Kaylee!

Kaylee is a familiar face, having previously worked as a trainer at the gym, and we’re incredibly thankful to have her experience and energy helping our team during this season.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University in 2017 and is certified in both group exercise and pre- and postnatal exercise. Kaylee also serves as the Head High School and Middle School Cross-Country Coach at Central Christian in Hutchinson, bringing a strong background in coaching, leadership, and helping people become more confident in what their bodies can do.

At Six20, Kaylee will be helping lead our high-energy Lunch Power half-hour classes and working with select 1-on-1 personal training clients.

Kaylee has been married to her husband, Cody, for nine years, and together they have three boys, all seven and under.

Her approach to fitness is rooted in her faith and the belief that God designed us to move our bodies to glorify Him. If she can help someone move better, get stronger, and feel more capable along the way, she’s excited to be part of it.

We’re grateful to have Kaylee helping at Six20 and excited for the impact she’ll make with our members!

Tharin has hit the ground running! 💪

He’s already working with clients, building relationships, and doing an excellent job bringing professional coaching to every session.

In this photo, he’s working on thoracic mobility, something that can easily get overlooked when the focus is simply on getting stronger. Good mobility through the upper back plays a big role in shoulder function, overhead movement, posture, rotation, and your ability to perform strength exercises with better mechanics.

Strength matters, but being able to move well through the range you have matters too. The goal isn’t just to lift more, it’s to build a body that is strong, capable, and moves well for the long haul.

We’re excited to have Tharin on the Six20 team and even more excited to see the impact he’s already making with his clients!

🇺🇸 LABOR DAY SCHEDULE

Just a quick reminder — there will be no classes this Labor Day, Monday, September 7th.

The gym is still OPEN 24/7 for members, so you can get your workout in whenever it fits your holiday plans!

Enjoy the long weekend, spend some time with family and friends, and we’ll be back to our normal class schedule Tuesday! 💪

A lesson I’ve been trying to teach myself lately, and maybe someone else needs the reminder too:

Don’t let what’s next steal what’s now.

I’m naturally someone who is always thinking about the next goal, the next thing, or how something could be better. But I’m learning that slowing down doesn’t mean becoming less ambitious. It means actually appreciating the life you’re working so hard to build in the moment.

A few things I’m trying to practice:

Define what “enough” looks like. Otherwise, there will always be one more thing to accomplish.

Protect ordinary time. Dinner with family, church, hobbies, a walk, sitting outside. Those ordinary moments may someday be the ones we miss most.

Let work have an ending. Some things can wait until tomorrow. (I am the worst at this.)

Actually notice the good. Your health. Your family. Your friendships. The ability to move your body. The opportunity to do meaningful work.

Stop treating today like a waiting room. You don’t have to reach the next goal before you’re allowed to enjoy your life.

Keep setting goals. Keep getting stronger. Keep building and growing. Just remember to occasionally look around and realize, this is part of the life you’ve been working for.

“Everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.” — Ecclesiastes 3:13

We’re incredibly thankful for Raven and the impact she’s made at the gym.

As she steps into a new season, Raven will be reducing her availability at the gym. BUT thankfully, this isn’t goodbye!

Raven has poured a lot into Six20 and the people she’s worked with. From young athletes learning to become stronger and more confident to adults working toward their own goals, she’s made a difference in a lot of lives.

While you may see a little less of her around the gym, Raven will continue coaching and being an important part of Six20 and our community.

We’re thankful for everything you’ve poured into this place, Raven, and we’re excited for what this next season brings!

Your job is important. But so is your faith, your health, your family, your hobbies, your time away, and the people waiting for you when you get home.

Work is part of a meaningful life. It was never meant to become your entire life.

Training works the same way. It should serve your life, not compete with it. That’s why we’re open 24/7 — so you train when it actually fits, instead of building your day around us.

Make time for the things that make you better at living the life you’ve been given.

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” — Colossians 3:23
