Aug. 1st meeting of Central KS Polio Survivors' Support Group

10:00 AM - 12:00 noon,
Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026

Our August meeting will be one of sharing and discussion. There are numerous issues and items that we need to address, including the future and direction of our group. We welcome your thoughts and wisdom!

As usual, we will enjoy coffee and snacks. Snacks may be brought by members whose last names begin with the letters Q through Z.

Please join us as we share and discuss!

Good morning, Everyone!
I wanted to let everyone know that there will NOT be a polio support group meeting in July. This decision was made because this year, July 4th is on the first Saturday of the month, the Saturday when we usually meet. The 4th of July is always a patriotic time of year and is often commemorated with special family gatherings, picnics, fireworks shows, and other festivities. This year, it is also the 250th anniversary of our nation, another reason to celebrate.

We plan to resume our meetings on August 1, 2026.

I wish all of you good health and a fantastic 4th of July! See you in August!

June 6th meeting of Central KS Polio Survivors' Support Group

Ted Mueller will be the guest speaker at our June meeting. He worked as an orderly at a hospital in Michigan during the polio epidemic, which was caring for polio patients. Ted is an uncle to Kim, the nurse who brought Lois to our meeting. I am eager to hear his story and learn about his experiences.

We'll also enjoy coffee and snacks. Snacks may be brought by members whose last names begin with the letters I through P.
