As a reminder, I will be retiring and closing my practice at the end of July 2026.

For anyone who may need to reach me after I close, I plan to keep the Huxley Massage page active through the end of 2026. If you have questions regarding past appointments, receipts or gift certificates facebook messenger will be the best way to contact me.

Please note that my current phone number may not remain active after the end of the year, so I encourage anyone needing communication to connect through this page while it is still available.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your health and wellness journey these past 20+ years. It has been an honor to serve this community and I’m grateful for the trust, support and friendships that have come from this work.

After a lot of thought (and a whole lot of gratitude), I want to share a little life update with you all....

I will retiring from full-time massage therapy at the end of July. This work has been such a meaningful part of my life, and its truly been an honor to care for so many of you over the years. The relationships built in this space are something I'll carry with me always!

For those of you who have been coming to Huxley Massage, I want you to know the space is in good hands. My chiropractor (and dear friend and co-worker of the past 5+ years) Dr. Greg Ploeger of Carrel Family Chiropractic will be taking over the lease for this part of our shared building. We've shared this office and its day-to-day rhythm for a long time, and I couldn't think of a better person to continue on here.

Dr. Greg is currently looking for a massage therapist to join the space - either to come on board or pay rent - so massage therapy will still have a place here in Huxley. If you or someone you know might be a good fit, feel free to reach out and I can help connect you.

Also - Sonia will still be seeing massage clients in the building through her own business, Ballard Massage. She's stepping into her own private practice, and I'm so excited for her in this next chapter.

Over the next few months, I'll continue seeing clients and soaking up this season of transition. Thank you for supporting me, trusting me and being part of this journey - it's meant more than I can ever fully put into words.

Due to the poor weather and road conditions, I have decided to cancel scheduled massage appointments today. Stay safe everyone.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday November 19th the City of Huxley Iowa is going to start a construction project along Highway 69 from East 1st Street to East 4th Street.

During construction traffic along Highway 69 will be shifted and our East 4th intersection will be periodically closed at times.

We know this isn't the most convenient or ideal. We recommend giving us a call or text before your scheduled chiropractic or massage appointment on the status of our East 4th street entrance. City Hall has told us they will let us know ahead of time if construction is going to affect our entrance.
