90.2 pounds down… and I’m actually eating more now.
It’s been a minute since I posted. We just had baby number five, and I’ve mostly been enjoying the time with my family and adjusting to the beautiful chaos that comes with five kids. 😂
But the work hasn’t stopped.
One of my big goals was to be in the 250s by the time Beckham was born.
The day before he got here, I weighed in at 257.8.
Goal accomplished. And that one felt really freaking good.
But I also started noticing something else: my lifting was suffering.
Between lifting 5–6 days a week, walking on my own every day, walks and bike rides with the kids, and another couple miles with my wife, I’m asking a lot from my body right now.
Trying to keep pushing a hard calorie deficit on top of all of that just didn’t make sense anymore.
So I bumped my calories from 2,250 to 2,785 per day.
Not because I’m done losing fat.
Not because I’ve stopped caring about the scale.
Because I want to keep getting stronger while I lose the rest of this weight.
For a few weeks the scale basically sat there while my body adjusted to the extra food and carbs. I knew that was likely going to happen, so I didn’t panic and immediately slash calories again.
And now things are moving.
257.4 pounds.
90.2 pounds down.
More importantly, my workouts are already feeling better.
This next phase isn’t about seeing how fast I can make the scale drop.
It’s about building a body that can perform while I continue getting leaner.
Anyway, I’ve got a couple videos backed up from my little break, and I’m ready to start posting again.
Mostly because I want this entire journey documented for myself and my family.
But I know some of you have been following along too.
And I really do appreciate it.
Still stacking days.
