When someone needs support at home, understanding the options can make the next conversation clearer. 💜

Home Health provides skilled clinical care for eligible patients. Services may include nursing, wound care, physical therapy, and occupational therapy under an ordered care plan.

Home Care provides nonmedical assistance with everyday needs, such as bathing, dressing, meals, and companionship.

A breast cancer diagnosis alone does not establish eligibility for Home Health. Ask the treating clinician what support may be appropriate for the individual’s needs.

Start with: “Do we need skilled medical care, help with daily routines, or both?”

Connection doesn’t need an elaborate plan. It might be a phone call, a puzzle at the kitchen table, or a short visit with someone you care about.

Think of an older neighbor, friend, or loved one you could reach out to. Ask what they would enjoy, and let them choose the activity and timing.

When someone you care about has breast cancer, knowing what to say can feel difficult. You don’t need perfect words to show you care. 💗

Start by listening. Let them decide what they want to talk about, ask before sharing their news, and stay connected through the everyday moments you’ve always shared.

Sometimes, a simple message is enough:
“Thinking of you. No pressure to reply.”

When someone you love is seriously ill, unfamiliar care terms can make a difficult time feel more confusing. 💜

Palliative care helps with symptoms, stress, and quality of life during serious illness. It can be provided alongside treatment for the illness.

Hospice focuses on comfort and support when someone is nearing the end of life. Care continues through symptom management and support for the person and family.

Both center on the person’s needs and what matters to them.

A helpful question to ask your healthcare team:
“Which type of support fits our situation?”
