This National EMS Week, we want to say THANK YOU to the EMTs and first responders who dedicate countless hours training for the worst so our communities can have the best possible outcome.

Thank you for the late nights, the missed family dinners, the early morning calls, and the sacrifices made behind the scenes. Thank you for being the calm in the chaos, the steady hand in emergencies, and the people our rural communities depend on when seconds matter most.

Rural EMS takes more than answering calls. It takes dedication, compassion, teamwork, continuing education, equipment checks, paperwork, fundraising, maintenance, scheduling, and so many unseen tasks that keep a small-town agency running day after day.

We are incredibly grateful for every volunteer, EMT, driver, supporter, and family member who helps make this possible.

If you’ve ever felt the calling to help your community, we would love to have you join our crew. EMS is more than a service — it’s a family, and there is always room for those willing to serve.

Thank you to all EMS professionals this week and every week. Your work matters more than words can say. 🚑❤️

A huge thank you to UCHealth for bringing their simulation trailer to town and hosting a joint training with Idalia EMS and South YW EMS. We truly appreciate all of the doctors and staff who took the time to create and lead these hands-on simulation scenarios.

Training opportunities like this help us continue to build our skill set, expand our knowledge base, and strengthen teamwork so we can better serve our rural communities when it matters most.

We’re grateful for the partnership and commitment to advancing emergency care in our region.

The crew from Idalia Ambulance Service has been hard at work at Resuscitation Academy training!

From high-performance CPR drills to teamwork and resuscitation strategy, we’re sharpening the skills that matter most when every second counts. This training focuses on improving survival from cardiac arrest, and we’re proud to bring this knowledge back to better serve our community.

We’re grateful for opportunities to learn, grow, and train alongside other dedicated EMS professionals across Colorado. Strong teams save lives. ❤️
