Camp Alandale, P. O. BOX 35, Idyllwild, CA (2026)

Children ages 9-18 who are living in foster homes or group homes in Orange and Riverside Counties are invited for a week in the summer and a weekend in the winter. In the summer there are 2 children for each counselor and a total of 24 children. In the winter there are 12 children and 12 counselors for a weekend. After a child has been to camp, no matter where they live or who they are living with

, they are always eligible to return to camp twice a year, every year, until they graduate from high school.

Just finished Camp #2! This past week was for our 7th - 9th grade campers. ☀️

Our counselors did an amazing job loving + guiding the kids, and we are so grateful for each one of them. We had lots of fun this week!! The Thursday hike at the river is always a favorite. And the “Wild and crazy Camp Alandale” skits had us belly laughing.

The testimonies we heard this week were really hard. The things these children have walked through are heartbreaking. Please, please, please keep them in your prayers. We are so thankful they landed at camp and know they will always be part of our camp family.

This summer our theme is “Who I Am.” We’ve been talking about who God says we are. We are chosen, loved, forgiven through Christ, and part of a family. We keep coming back to the truth of Scripture, and it’s always special and a big part of our mission that these kids know they are loved and their life has so much purpose!

Thank you for praying for these kids, our staff, and the work God is doing in their lives. Camp could not run without the generosity of volunteers, our prayer warriors, donors, and staff. Thank you so much camp fam! 💛

The last few weeks have been jam-packed! We had our summer staff training, our summer kickoff event, and our first camp of the summer. ☀️🏕️

This past week, we welcomed our 4th–6th graders, and God did incredible things in their lives. We are so grateful for every volunteer who came up and poured so much love, time, and energy into these kids.

Thank you to everyone who attended our kickoff event and supported camp!

Please be praying for our staff as they work hard this summer, and for every child who comes up to camp. Our prayer is that they would know and feel just how loved they are and how much value they have.

And just like that, we’re already on to Camp 2!

So thankful for an amazing JC Training weekend 💛
We shared lots of laughs, learned together, and spent time preparing for summer camp.

There is something special about watching young people step up to serve + love foster youth well. We are expectant for all the Lord has in store this summer!

Camp is just around the corner, and we still need counselors! If you’ve been thinking about serving this summer, we’d love to have you!
