Black Star Stables and Arena Black Star Stables is a Service Disabled,Veteran Owned Small Business. We offer boarding, training and rehab and have 14 stalls.

We treat each horse as an individual and with respect and kindness.

Brick wall, waterfall! Kat loves being mean to Kit, but know she isn't getting fed unless he is in the barn to, so she begrudgingly gets him every day for breakfast and dinner! This is a reminder to spay/neuter, vaccinate and deworm your kitties!

We are going to run a "Who Am I" Wednesday feature for a bit and introduce you to a new horse each week!

Here is our 1st horses' interview!

What's your name? Lita, aka Lita Bida Boda Butt

How old are you? About 3.5 years old

What's your favorite thing to do? Dunking my head into my water until it touches my eyeballs

How tall are you? 14.2 hh Just the right size to not need a mounting block out on the trail.

What do you eat? 2 lbs of BUCKEYE Nutrition Safe N Easy a day (although Id love to have about 10lbs more a day... its soooo good)

What's your least favorite thing? Foals! They are so annoying!

What breed are you? I can be any breed you want!! But everyone's best guess is at least half Tennessee Walker.

How long have you been here? Since May 1st so 6 months

What's something you've learned at Black Star? A lot... how to not be feral, how to not strike at people, to learn humans are good leaders, and that I can be friends with other horses instead of being afraid of them.

How did you end up at Black Star?
Well, I was having a grand ol' time running the woods of Michigan loose on Thanksgiving, and for SOME reason the cops came, and the animal cops, and Kristine DesRosiers Dvonch. I gave them a run for their money, but eventually had my Thanksgiving feast at Horses Haven. After a few months of playing "🎵can't touch this🎵", Miss Kristine sent me to boot camp to turn my life around.

Who do you belong to? Well, its your lucky day if you're reading this, because it could be YOU. Right now I belong to Horses Haven, but I'm adoptable.
