Precision starts here.

In some cases, extremely precise nerve stimulation is warranted. When precise assessment of small motor nerves in close proximity to other nerves, intraneural nerve identification, or evaluation of individual fascicles is required, CHECKPOINT GEMINI® delivers focused bipolar stimulation designed for confident intraoperative decision-making.

✔Precise Stimulation of exposed nerves and fascicles

✔Focused bipolar stimulation for localized assessment

✔No separate return needle

✔Ergonomic handheld design

We hear it all the time in the OR: “the blue one” or “the purple one.” While both Checkpoint stimulators are designed to support safe and reliable nerve stimulation, each serves a distinct purpose.

CHECKPOINT GUARDIAN® (the blue one) delivers broad stimulation for mapping through scar tissue, gross nerve location, and direct muscle stimulation, while CHECKPOINT GEMINI® (the purple one) provides focused bipolar precision for fascicular mapping, intraneural stimulation, and small motor branch identification.

Different stimulation fields. Different applications. One trusted platform.

♊ It’s Gemini season and we’re spotlighting a Gemini of our own!
Many surgeons know Checkpoint Surgical for our trusted monopolar nerve stimulator, Checkpoint Guardian®. But have you met Checkpoint Gemini®?
Gemini’s bipolar design eliminates the need for a separate return needle while delivering precise, controlled stimulation—even at the fascicular level. This enhanced precision makes Gemini an ideal tool for procedures such as selective neurectomy for spasticity, where every detail matters.
Whether you’re navigating complex nerve anatomy or seeking greater control in the OR, Gemini is designed to help surgeons make confident decisions.

As tarsal tunnel release procedures continue to present variability in outcomes, surgeons are recognizing that visual decompression does not always equal completeness of release. Establishing real-time, objective intraoperative feedback is critical. With CHECKPOINT Guardian®, surgeons can establish a baseline response prior to release, assess improvement following decompression, and identify areas of persistent compression that may require further attention—helping guide distal branch release and support confident closure. Turn tarsal tunnel release into a measurable procedure with this technique guide, highlighting how Checkpoint Guardian can help confirm completeness and reduce the risk of failed outcomes. Access the full technique guide at the link in our bio. For a complete list of warnings and precautions regarding the use of Guardian, visit https://checkpointsurgical.com/ifu/.
