🍄 Second harvest of wine cap mushrooms! 🍄

We went back out to check on our wine caps, and they did NOT disappoint! This was our second harvest, and this time we picked enough to actually dehydrate some for later! 🙌

I absolutely love growing something that starts as a little patch of mycelium and turns into beautiful, delicious mushrooms right here on the farm. There’s something pretty satisfying about harvesting your own food! 🌱🍄

Now they’re headed into the dehydrator so we can enjoy our harvest long after mushroom season is over. ❤️

I’m already wondering… how many more harvests will we get?! 😍

🐐 Can you do me a little favor? ❤️

We just brought Annie home, and I made a longer video showing her introduction to the herd. Goat introductions are definitely a little rougher than humans meeting! 😂🐐

Click the YouTube link below, watch the video, and please hit SUBSCRIBE! 🙏

I’m at 820 subscribers and would love to reach my goal of 1,000! 🎉 It’s just a personal goal—I’m not trying to monetize the channel.

Thank you so much for supporting our little farm! ❤️

🐐 Welcome to the herd, Annie! 🐐❤️

We brought a new goat home today, and let’s just say… goat introductions are a little rougher than human introductions! 😂

When humans meet someone new, we usually shake hands, smile, and say, “It’s nice to meet you.”

Goats? Not so much. 😆

There’s a whole process of sniffing, rubbing necks, posturing, head-butting, chasing, and figuring out exactly where everyone stands in the herd. It can look pretty aggressive to us, but it’s how goats establish their relationships and hierarchy.

Annie had to meet the herd queen and everyone else, and while there were definitely some “Who do you think YOU are?” moments, the introduction went really well! ❤️

And now I have a favor to ask…

🎥 I made a longer YouTube video showing the goat introductions, and I would LOVE for you to watch it!

But even more importantly, please subscribe while you’re there! 🙏

I’m currently at 820 subscribers, and I would absolutely love to reach 1,000! 🎉

I’m not trying to monetize the channel or make money from it. Honestly, 1,000 subscribers is just a personal goal I’ve set for myself, and it would mean so much to me to reach it.

So if you enjoy following Rapha Farms, the goats, the farm, and all the crazy things that happen around here, please head over to YouTube, watch the longer video, and hit that Subscribe button. ❤️🐐

And tell me… would you have been brave enough to stand in the middle of this goat introduction? 😂

Four years ago, we celebrated Sarah’s birthday the way we did every year. ❤️

Sarah got to choose how she wanted to spend her special day, and that year she chose Stillwater. We delivered products to a store there, did some shopping, got ice cream and chocolate, and later headed to the State Fair.

It was a day I always looked forward to. She had endless energy and could wear me out in the best possible way. I would give anything to have one more of those exhausting, wonderful days with her.

I know she is celebrating in heaven today, and I believe that one day, I will celebrate with her again.

Until then, I’ll hold these memories close to my heart and be grateful for every birthday I was blessed to spend with her.

Happy birthday, sweet Sarah. ❤️
I love you, and I miss you more than words can say.

🐐 Please say a little prayer for Tundra. ❤️

Tundra has a very special place in my heart. She was the very first kid born on our farm this year, back in mid-March. She came into the world during a snowstorm, weighing a whopping 10 lbs. 10 oz. ❄️🐐

She’s also one of my favorites. ❤️

Today was one of those days on the farm that reminds me how quickly things can change.

Tundra appears to be dealing with a pretty serious case of worms, and she has become extremely weak. I had to catch her and give her a dose of deworming medication, but honestly, I’m pretty worried about her.

She was still strong enough to go out with the herd to eat, but when everyone headed back to the barn, Tundra couldn’t make the trip back. She was simply too weak. 💔

When you raise animals, there are days when you can do everything you know to do and then you just have to wait, watch, and hope they have enough strength to fight.

So tonight, I’m keeping a very close eye on my girl and hoping the medication starts working and that tomorrow brings some improvement.

Come on, Tundra. You were born during a snowstorm—you’re a tough girl. You’ve got this. ❤️🐐

🏆🐐 GRAND CHAMPION!!! 🐐🏆

What an incredible day at the Carver County Fair! Olivia and Lush did it!!! 💗

After all the work, time, grooming, training, and love that Olivia has put into Lush, seeing them come home with GRAND CHAMPION is just the best feeling! 🥹🏆

Lush has been such a special goat, and Olivia has done an absolutely amazing job showing her. We couldn’t be more proud of them both!

Spending the day at the Carver County Fair! 🐐🎡❤️

Olivia is showing our beautiful girl Lush, and she has done FANTASTIC! We couldn’t be more proud of how well they’ve worked together and how confidently Olivia has handled Lush in the show ring. 🥰🐐🏆

It’s such a fun day watching the kids work with their animals, seeing all the preparation come together, and enjoying a day at the fair!

Way to go, Olivia & Lush! ❤️🐐

I’m drying up the goats, and right now Lola is the only girl still getting milked. It feels a little strange after all the months of twice-a-day milking, but I’m also really enjoying one of the little perks of having fresh milk right now…

Pouring fresh goat milk straight into my coffee. ☕️🥛

I’m going to miss having all that fresh milk, but I’m definitely enjoying Lola’s while I can! 🐐❤️

🍉 Watermelon Bath Bombs Get Their Seeds!

Remember when I told you about the little “accident” that happened the first time I made these? 😂

When I went to add the black watermelon seeds, my mixture was somehow a little too runny and the bath bomb had already started reacting. The “seeds” ended up raising up off the surface, and at first I thought I had completely ruined them.

Then I looked again and realized… they actually looked MORE like real watermelon seeds! 🍉😂

So now I just roll with it! I use alcohol mixed with black oxide to paint on the seeds, and sometimes they still puff up a little as the bath bomb reacts. Every one ends up just a little different—and honestly, that’s part of the fun!

These are definitely one of those products that make people smile. ❤️🍉 And I can tell you from experience… everyone adores them!

🍉 They’re out of the molds… and they’re looking GOOD! 😍

Today I’m unmolding these adorable watermelon bath bombs, and I have to admit… they’re almost too cute to use! 🍉🫧

But they’re not finished yet! Come back tomorrow to watch me add the little black “watermelon seeds” on top. That final step is what really brings them to life, and it’s so satisfying to watch!

Would you toss one of these in your bath, or would you have a hard time using something this cute? 😄
