When the first raindrops started falling, I grabbed the camera. ☔🐐

Goats are many things… curious, playful, and stubborn. But one thing most goats have in common? They do not like getting wet!

At first, only a couple of the girls decided it was time to head for the barn. Then the rain picked up. And when it started coming down hard, the rest of the herd suddenly realized they should probably seek shelter too. Watching a whole group of goats sprint at top speed for the barn is always entertaining!

You haven’t seen me cutting much soap lately—not because I haven’t been making it!

The truth is, I’ve had some pretty terrific helpers taking care of the cutting while I’ve been busy making batches, filling orders, caring for goats, and keeping Rapha Farms running.

Today I got to slow down for a few minutes and cut a fresh batch of Rose Goat Milk Soap myself. There’s something satisfying about seeing a loaf transformed into individual bars, each one ready to cure and eventually find its way into someone’s home.

Sometimes the behind-the-scenes jobs don’t make it onto social media, but every bar still passes through many hands before it reaches you. I’m grateful for the family and helpers who make it all possible.

Our 10th and final goat kid of the 2026 kidding season has arrived!

I wasn’t home when this little one made their debut because I was at a farmers market, so a huge thank you to Annika for capturing the first moments on video. Without her, we would have missed sharing this special arrival with all of you.

Every kidding season is filled with excitement, anticipation, and a few surprises, and we’re grateful for each healthy baby born here at Rapha Farms. This little one officially closes out our 2026 baby season, making it a milestone we’ll always remember.

Thank you for following along on our goat farming journey and celebrating these moments with us!

Ten batches of soap in two days! 🧼🐐

This week I made 10 batches of goat milk soap in just two days. Right now, our setup limits how much I can make at one time, so producing larger quantities means repeating the same process over and over again.

One of the things I’m most excited about with the new shop is the ability to make much larger batches at once. What currently takes about 10 hours of soap making should eventually take closer to 2.5 hours. The amount of soap stays the same, but the process becomes so much more efficient.

As demand for our products continues to grow, having a dedicated space designed for production will be a game changer. It’s exciting to see the pieces coming together and to think about what we’ll be able to accomplish when the shop is finished.

For now, I’ll keep pouring, cutting, and curing soap one batch at a time. ❤️

One step at a time, and it’s finally starting to feel real. Today we got the sink moved into its spot in the shop, and with every little project completed, this dream feels closer and closer.

There is still plenty left to do, but seeing things come together has us getting pretty excited around here. What started as an idea is slowly becoming a space where we can make products for Rapha Farms more efficiently and continue growing this little farm business we love.

And my favorite part? Building it together. The hug at the end says it all. ❤️

Thank you, Dave, for all your hard work and for dreaming alongside me. I don’t take this life for granted.

There’s something incredibly special about building a life together. ❤️

Watching Dave put up the Rapha Farms sign while Shania Twain sings “There ain’t no way I’m letting you go now” just feels fitting.

This farm, this business, and this life have been built one small step at a time. I don’t take for granted having a husband who works beside me, supports my dreams, and isn’t afraid of hard work. It’s a very different life than the one I once knew, and I appreciate it every single day.

The signs, the buildings, the chores, the endless projects—they’re all reminders that we’re building something together.

Thank you, Dave, for all you do for our family and for Rapha Farms. ❤️

When your husband spends the day servicing farm equipment, grease and grime become part of the job. Dave came in with hands covered in oil, dirt, and mechanic grease—but after washing with our Goat Milk Soap, it all came right off!

Customers tell us all the time that our soap works even better than dish soap for cutting through grease while still being gentle on their skin. Unlike harsh degreasers that leave your hands dry and cracked, Goat Milk Soap helps moisturize while it cleans.

Whether you work on tractors, cars, equipment, or just spend your days getting your hands dirty, this soap is ready for the challenge.

✨ Tough on grease.
✨ Gentle on skin.
✨ Made with farm-fresh goat milk from our own goats.

Have stubborn mechanic hands in your house? Tag the grease-loving person who needs this soap! 👨‍🔧🚜

Dave has officially started working on the shop! Right now, it may not look like much—mostly cleaning, organizing, and clearing out space—but every big dream begins somewhere.

Sometimes the first step isn’t building walls or installing equipment. Sometimes it’s simply picking up, sorting through years of life, and making room for what comes next.

We are getting so excited to see this dream slowly become a reality. The shop has been in our hearts for a long time, and seeing even these small steps happen makes it feel more real than ever.

We can’t wait to see what happens next and to share the journey with all of you. ❤️

💣🛁 Bath Bomb Production Day! 🛁💣

I’m busy getting ready for a full week of farmers markets, which means making LOTS of bath bombs! Each bath bomb contains little pieces of our handmade Goat Milk Soap tucked inside, so you get the fun fizz of a bath bomb plus the gentle cleansing benefits of our soap all in one product.

The workshop is in full production mode as we stock up for a busy market week ahead:

📍 Saturday: Minneapolis, Saint Paul & Chanhassen
📍 Sunday: Minneapolis & Saint Paul
📍 Wednesday: Plymouth (our first market of the season!)
📍 Thursday: Maple Grove

It’s going to be a full week, and we’re working hard to keep the shelves stocked with your favorite Goat Milk soaps, lotions, bath bombs, deodorants, and more!

Stop by and say hello, stock up on your favorites, and see what’s new at Rapha Farms. We can’t wait to see you!
