🚨 Friendly PSA from your trusted GLP-1 & peptide provider…
I know it’s tempting to buy from a friend, save a few dollars, or trust someone who recently started their own “peptide business.” But when it comes to injectable products, safety should never be optional.
⚠️ Not all injectable products are created equal. Even the “99% pure” ones.
If someone is handing you a baggie containing vials, syringes, alcohol pads, and instructions, ask questions.
✔️ Where did it come from?
✔️ What is the concentration?
✔️ Is it sourced from a regulated pharmacy?
✔️ Does it have proper prescription labeling?
✔️ Is there physician oversight?
If you’re receiving products labeled “For Research Use Only,” products packaged in baggies, prefilled syringes without prescription labeling, or injectable supplies from someone without the proper licensing, those are major red flags.
What has surprised me most is how common these practices have become—and how many people believe they have to “go grey” to afford treatment.
Let’s talk about just one aspect: sterility.
Every time a vial is punctured, contamination risk increases. Using the same vial for multiple people, repeatedly drawing from it, handling needles that have been uncapped and recapped, or repackaging products outside of a licensed pharmacy environment can significantly increase the risk of contamination, infection, and dosing errors.
Many people don’t realize that “Research Use Only” products are not approved for human use. Medication dispensing and prescribing are heavily regulated for a reason: to protect patients from contamination, dosing errors, counterfeit products, and preventable harm.
As a mom, a nurse, and a peptide user myself, I understand wanting affordable options. But cheaper isn’t cheaper if it compromises your health.
At Gloss MD, we don’t cut corners.
