Hi everyone! I am open to accepting another Ketamine Assisted Music Psychotherapy client at this time. I am interested in working with someone who is ready to dive in to treatment--this person may continue weekly therapy with their current provider but would see me for 2 hour dosing sessions either weekly or every other week as desired, as well as one integration session after each dosing session.
I offer in office dosing support in my cozy Ketamine nook, complete with hi-fidelity music programming and relaxation support. I integrate music therapy and somatic therapy into the integration work and love to collaborate with other therapists who may offer EMDR or more in-depth verbal processing as needed! Please reach out to me if you are interested in collaborating or if you have a client who might benefit from this treatment!
I am a Journey Clinical provider, so I am able to work with clients who are prescribed Ketamine through Journey! They provide great medical support, assessment, and ongoing follow up on the medication side. I am really enjoying providing dosing support and integration--not to mention seeing clients respond very well to the treatment!

I just want everyone to know that I need to organize my music files on my computer, and it is going to be an extensive process. I think it is honestly part of the Level III GIM process. I dislike sitting at the computer for long stretches, but I do like organizing. It can be hard to begin projects and follow through on them, especially when they feel daunting and overwhelming. There are MANY existing GIM programs, and any piece of music can be used in MI or GIM. I'd like to have a wide selection of music available, and to know this music well enough to understand when it would be helpful for a client. I have many of the programs on CD or downloaded, but the files are not in a convenient location for me to get to know them as I would like. I could upload everything to spotify or apple music, which might help. I think I need my music in a cloud, too, as I sometimes work from two different computers. I find that in today's world, working on a computer is so overstimulating that completing projects becomes very overwhelming. That or I do not like to focus on a computer. Either way, let's set some goals and accomplish them! I may crowd source some ideas of which program my colleauges prefer for organization between GIM programs, song files, and music pools. I want to set a goal of uploading the GIM program files to a program, but I am torn between Spotify, which I use for personal music listening, but find the interface annoying and distracting/overstimulating, or switching to apple music or another program which I am less familiar with. Having the programs and music pools in the same place I would search for a song to stream feels appealing, but I am not sure if there is a good combination there.

Thinking about working with psychedelic medicine? I like this article's emphasis on the importance of the container, pacing, and questions on your own intention and next steps for this work. Also, please hit me up for a consultation if you are interested in Ketamine work or other psychedelic support!

This new year is bringing fresh excitement for my work as a therapist. I often struggle with a perceived split between creative arts therapy and verbal psychotherapy--an all or nothing kind of dilemma! As I FINALLY got paneled with Anthem Medicaid (it only took a literal year of waiting), I realize I am finally crossing the threshold to practicing fully independently. I have started to feel space within, as I realize this is merely the beginning of my journey as a fully licensed creative arts psychotherapist. I won't stop learning about embodied arts therapies, nor will I stop learning about depth-oriented and transpersonal models of therapy. I will continue to connect with my communities of support and nurturance as I come up against new dilemmas and growing edges. Sometimes it has felt lonely along the way, but I am realizing we are all on this journey of being human, learning, and growing, and the art of therapy is really listening, asking questions, making space for that journey to unfold. There are no right answers and there is no reason to to know it all. Sometimes I struggle in my own process, but I am finding that returning again and again to making that space for myself and others is the only way forward. And I am excited for it!
