The National Pediatric Readiness Quality Initiative (NPRQI) continues to support EDs nationwide in strengthening Pediatric Readiness through clinical quality measures and data-driven quality improvements. Currently, nearly 200 EDs representing rural, community, critical access, and children’s hospitals are participating in NPRQI. Together, these sites have submitted more than 33,000 pediatric patient encounters, using the National Pediatric Readiness Project Clinical Quality Measures for benchmarking and performance tracking.
A recent publication in NEJM Catalyst highlights how NPRQI is advancing pediatric emergency care. The newly released 2025 NPRQI Annual Report also highlights key accomplishments from 2025 and shares how NPRQI continues to evolve through the launch of the upgraded NPRQI platform, along with new participation opportunities for 2026. https://emscimprovement.center/education-and-resources/webinars/
