It wasn't a miracle. It was a gas card.

But when you're 16 miles from empty, working between chemo treatments, and too proud to tell your kids you're struggling — it felt like one.

"The first time I actually felt human again."

That's what your support does. It's not flashy. It's a full tank of gas for a woman who would never ask for one.

Thank you, Wood Family Foundation, for helping Hoosiers WIN the everyday challenges of breast cancer treatment.

If you know someone like her — or if you are her — IWIN is here.

She's our why. 💗

To every Mother today -

The ones who are celebrating.
The ones who are fighting.
The ones who are grieving.
The ones we are still fighting for.
And the ones we carry in our hearts always.

At IWIN, our community is full of moms. Donors who give in honor of someone they love. Recipients who are navigating treatment while still packing lunches, answering texts, and showing up for the people who need them most. Volunteers who show up because they know what it means to need support.

Happy Mother's Day from all of us at IWIN 🤍

Season of Giving: Day 31

Amie is our why.

During her breast cancer treatment, IWIN supported Amie and her family both financially and emotionally. When she needed to stop working, grant support helped cover groceries and gas, easing daily stress during a difficult season.

Today, Amie continues to give back to Hoosiers undergoing breast cancer treatment and to IWIN. She's a healthcare professional in the Region, a contributor to the success of our 25th Anniversary Illuminate Gala, and an active voice helping shape how IWIN is expanding its impact across Indiana.

Her story reflects what happens when compassion comes full circle. Support received. Purpose shared. Impact multiplied.

Season of Giving: Day 30

Linda is our why.

After learning she had breast cancer, Linda faced both emotional and financial stress. Support from IWIN helped ease that burden by providing financial assistance and compassionate support throughout her treatment.

Knowing she was cared for made a difficult season more manageable. Your generosity helps provide both relief and reassurance to those facing breast cancer.

Season of Giving: Day 29

Laurell is our why.

For Laurell, IWIN became part of her extended family during her breast cancer journey. That support brought comfort, connection, and reassurance during a difficult time.

Your generosity helps create a community of care for those who need it most. Please donate today at iwinfoundation.org.

Season of Giving: Day 28

Jessica is our why.

Diagnosed with breast cancer while 26 weeks pregnant, Jessica then faced treatment while preparing to welcome her baby into the world.

Travel to the cancer center was an added challenge during an already overwhelming time. Support from IWIN helped cover gas expenses, easing the burden so Jessica could focus on treatment and her growing family.

Your generosity helps provide practical support during life’s most difficult seasons. Please donate today at iwinfoundation.org.

Season of Giving: Day 27

Julie is our why.

While fighting breast cancer, Julie was also trying to figure out how she would pay for groceries. Support from IWIN helped meet that basic need during a time when survival was her only focus.

No one should have to choose between staying alive and putting food on the table. Your generosity helps ensure families have support when they need it most.

Season of Giving: Day 26

Jodi is our why.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at just 40, Jodi was navigating surgery and treatment while caring for her young son, who was only 3 at the time.

Support from IWIN helped provide meals during her recovery, easing daily stress so Jodi could focus her energy where it mattered most, on healing and being present for her child.

Your generosity helps make the road a little smoother for families facing breast cancer. Year-end giving is welcomed and appreciated at www.iwinfoundation.org

Season of Giving: Day 25

Stephanie is our why.

At the time of her breast cancer diagnosis, Stephanie’s home was full. Her daughter and grandchildren were living with her, ranging in age from 31 to just 7-month-old twins. When surgery was delayed due to COVID, the stress and uncertainty weighed heavily on her entire family.

Today, Stephanie is paying it forward. As a former IWIN grant recipient, she now creates beauty bags for women currently receiving chemotherapy, offering comfort, dignity, and encouragement during treatment.

We are deeply grateful for the many IWIN recipients who choose to give back, lighting the way for others on this journey!

Season of Giving: Day 24

Elena is our why.

She is a spanish-speaking patient going through chemotherapy while caring for her young son. She has no job, no health insurance, no car, and no family support nearby. She is renting a room and facing treatment largely on her own.

For patients like Elena, IWIN support provides critical relief when there is nowhere else to turn. Support helps meet basic needs so she can focus on treatment and caring for her child.

Your generosity ensures no one has to face breast cancer alone. Please donate today at iwinfoundation.org.
