As promised, we're getting back on track with classes now that everything is set for the office transition. These are just a few of the offerings coming in the near future. More and different opportunities are on the way, as well as a website! Thank you for your patience as changes are navigated. This season is much more than just a change of location, but more on that in the future. As for now, please check out the upcoming classes and let me know if you are interested in registering or have any questions. Practice time includes giving and receiving a Reiki treatment. Students will receive the appropriate attunement (now Placement), one power symbol and will be certified in the First Degree of the Usui/Holy Fire III System of Healing upon completion.

Hello, Friends!!

Imagine for just a moment, a dinner date with your absolute, most favorite person in the world. You're going to meet to share wonderful food and catch up on all the things you haven't been able to share in a while. They have just arrived! How do you greet them? Do you hug? Do kiss? Do you shake hands?

How do you position yourselves at the dinner table? Are you sitting next to each other? Across from each other?

What do you talk about? The general "life" stuff? The serious stuff? The emotional stuff? Is this someone you can share ANYTHING with, or do you wear a mask or avoid certain subjects?

Is this a quiet place? A busy restaurant? A party atmosphere that allows dinner and dancing?

Can you see your favorite person in the situation you would enjoy in this moment? Can you feel your excitement and joy? Ok...now, let's alter this picture just a little... Are you ready?

In this perfect scenario you've created, change your favorite person to YOU. The You that you haven't talked to in a while (maybe even decades). The You that's experienced trauma and hides from everyone else. The You you don't necessarily share with others. The You that feels "inauthentic" to even yourself because you've lost touch with them.

How does this change the picture of your dinner date? How does it change the way you feel? Are you shy or unsure about greeting You? How does that change how you talk to You? How would you prefer to sit at the table with You? How does it change the emotions or excitement behind the date?

If you caught yourself pulling back the reigns a little when your scenario changed, it's time to gently and lovingly get to know YOU again. It's time to show as much love to yourself as you would your favorite person...and every other person in your life that you regard higher than yourself. I don't say this with the implication that you're better than anyone else. I say this with absolute conviction that you are just as worthy as receiving the love that you give others.

Reiki can gently and lovingly help you work through the layers of insecurity, trauma, physical exhaustion, spiritual uncertainty, and all the emotions and changes that come with giving yourself the same loving attention that you give to others. Reiki is a journey that is personal for each individual, just as every relationship you have is personal and defined with their own beautiful characteristics.

If you do nothing else today, please look in a mirror...a good, long, hard look...and say, "I am worthy." For some of you, I know that's going to feel nearly impossible...but do it. And then do it again with a little more conviction. And then a little more... Because you ARE worthy. You ARE loved. You ARE a very special piece of the bigger puzzle. You DO have a special purpose for being here. You DO have a story to share. Find yourself...find that part of you that's willing to grow, heal and then share your journey with others to inspire THEIR journeys. Let me assure you that many of you have been an inspiration on my journey...and still are!

I am beyond excited to tell you that the Reiki Center of Indiana will officially be moving to a new location in July! I will have an update posted very soon with all the details when the legalities are finalized. New location. New atmosphere. New vibe. New beginning. I am so looking forward to all that's to come with this new chapter...

Hello, Friends!!

Thank you...thank you for sharing your stories of transitions, your thoughts on life changes, and deep, insightful theories on the spiritual significance of all life is presenting in this moment. For those of you that might be struggling with "the unknown" with all that is going on, please remember to take a breath and remember that every "unknown" is simply a new beginning, a new concept to experience, a gift for you to unwrap... Personal changes on a physical, mental and spiritual level take time, and the goal is not to get to the finish line as quickly as possible. There is much to learn from every moment of the journey, and what seems like the smallest of details might bring the greatest of revelations.

The new life that comes with spring is an incredible inspiration... It's always reaching for the light, even when having to wade through what's left of an earlier time. That older "stuff" is evidence of previous growth, and then protection during harsher moments. Death brings rebirth, and rebirth means you can be something bigger and greater than you were last season.

Do not fear change. Do not fear the "unknown." You do not have to have all the answers. Allow yourself to discover them like the treasures they are.

Never stop reaching for the light. Never doubt your importance on this journey. Never doubt that you are experiencing exactly what you need to be, exactly in this moment.

Hello, Friends!!

I stepped outside last night to take in some crisp, fresh air and see what stars were visible. The faithful Orion was front and center, steadfast as he always is. I remembered recognizing his formation as a child before learning his name, as well as his proximity to other constellations. He's become somewhat of a friend over my decades in this life. I could have a good day...and there he would be. I could have a bad day...and he was always there. I was fascinated by the perfection and loyalty of the stars, and how their light is shared by everyone who cares to look up.

And then there was the icicle... Temporary, but no less beautiful and perfect. The reflection I had while observing this creation is far too long to repeat. But I will say it made me think of all of us and our respective traumas. When I was younger, I was told that angry or disrespectful people were "hardened." Now that I'm older, I choose to see them as "protective." Their hardened exteriors are simply protecting what has been hurt, and they don't want to feel whatever the pain was that made them so. They are still their own unique, beautiful, perfectly imperfect self, and they have their own stories to write.

I was thinking about how my journey with Reiki has allowed the warmth and light to shine on my own protective shell. Every step I've taken over these years has allowed my "ice" to melt, allowing more light and understanding to live in my heart. I have learned to catch new knowledge and perspectives and release them away to others in hopes that it helps on their own journeys. I have also learned that as I "catch" new traumas and are shaped by those experiences, it's best to release the negativities associated with them and melt with the warmth of the light. Icicles will change shape as they live through their cycle of life...as do we.

Be as faithful to yourself as Orion is in the night sky. Be present. Be light. Be the beautiful, unique person you were created to be. And be kind to those you don't understand who might need a compassionate word to start melting their ice...

Hello, Friends!!

For many of us, it's certainly been a bit of a challenge this past month...especially the past couple of weeks or so with the extreme weather. I've heard that some of you have been enjoying some extra quiet time wrapped in cozy blankets, and some of you have endured extra challenges with shoveling and power outages. I will admit, this time has not gone anything like I'd planned or imagined and have dealt with all of the above. And so, we power forward, greeting each new day with a new perspective, reflection, gratitude and hope. Despite the occasional extra challenges, the beauty of the season has stirred something in many of our souls. There is a deeper desire for rest, a hotter fire for change and an undeniable thirst for more knowledge and understanding. Please...keep speaking to one another...keep listening to one another...keep honoring what your body, mind spirit needs to engage and embrace the changes life is presenting...

I'm working diligently on many changes here in the background, and so appreciate your love, support and patience as things unfold. There will be Karuna and Master Certifications offered in February and March, and we will resume a more normal rotation of Reiki I and Reiki II Certifications starting in April. I'll be excited to present updated manuals to reflect our changing spiritual environment and the unique talents we possess. The classes listed in these upcoming months will be in person, but I'm also working on getting set up for online teaching and other opportunities/services in the near future. I'm thrilled for what's to come and can't wait to share these moments with you!

This class combines Karuna with the Holy Fire energy, creating a higher vibration, deeper understanding and level of healing, peace and grounding. Attendees will receive 8 Karuna symbols, as well as the Master symbol. A test will be given on all Holy Fire Reiki symbols, including the ones received in this certification.

Welcome to 2026!! I'm hearing SO many of you saying that this is the year you intend to work on yourself. There's an incredible shift happening that's awakening our spirits to higher vibrations, allowing us to find the deeper meaning to our every day, and igniting the desire to experience something greater. Your personal reflections are bringing to the light what needs attention and healed, and you're not shying away from the challenge. As a reminder to those of you that are frequently surrounded by chaos, be it in life or by your own doing - focusing on your needs and taking a breather is NOT selfish...it's a necessary exercise in discipline and choice.

As I've been pondering the importance of self-care and choice, I was reminded of how things were when I was a child. Being the youngest of eight children, my mother understandably ran a pretty tight ship. You were to make your bed as soon as you got up in the morning, dirty clothes were placed in the hamper - not left piled on the floor, and clean clothes were immediately put away where they belonged. If you moved or used something, you put it back where you found it as soon as you were finished. Toys could only be left around if you were playing with them, otherwise, they were to be put away in their place. I understood the need for such order as a child, but as an adult, I have a greater regard for the discipline and respect it taught me about life, taking care of your things, and having an awareness of your surroundings.

I have carried these actions into my life to this day. The discipline it takes to maintain relative order in a busy world is a form of self-care. If my surroundings are chaotic, I notice a shift in the way I feel. Thus, the discipline is a choice. There are innumerable ways to engage in self-care...all personal to the individual and chosen to work with what you need in this moment of life. For some of you, that means engaging in Reiki. For others, it could be meditation, prayer, enjoying a warm beverage and a good book, working out, hiking, taking a hot bath, engaging in some form of creativity...the list is endless. I encourage you to explore what works best for your needs in this moment and MAKE THE CHOICE to be DISCIPLINED in caring for yourself. You don't need to wait for the perfect time or atmosphere...just give yourself permission to take THIS moment. Breathe. Let your mind wander and ponder. Be present in your daily actions and allow THIS moment to be enough. No matter your challenges, responsibilities and goals...YOU ARE ENOUGH.
