We were privileged to host our friends from Indiana Center for Nursing for their board meeting and strategic planning. Our large conference room offers a wonderful opportunity to bring other organizations into our building to help meet their needs while sharing our lifesaving mission through facility tours, demonstrations of the Indiana Donor Memorial and other in-person connections.

We were fortunate to host transplant center leaders from throughout the Midwest last week as part of the National Community Partnership for Donation and Transplant Growth efforts to share best practices across regions for transplant and donation advancements, which will ultimately save more lives!

Thanks to our presenters from around the country and participants from Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky for attending and sharing knowledge with one another, and to the Gift of Life Institute for their support.

Meet Beth, an Indiana Donor Network advocate. Here is her story:

"I received a new pancreas on June 7, 2008, after 20+ years of uncontrollable diabetes. Thanks to my donor hero, Angelica, who gave me a second chance that day, I can now live a normal life, enjoy my grandkids and spend time with my family and friends. I have also been part of the Youth Ed Team and have volunteered and given back to Donate Life Indiana for over 14 years."
