It’s been a good run, pumping supplies… see ya never! 👋🏼

In all seriousness though, I’m feeling all the ways about closing this chapter of my feeding journey.

Every once in awhile, I feel a twinge of sadness… but then I remember what it’s like to pump at 3 am while everyone else is sound asleep… and I the switch from grief to gratitude hits me quick! 😆

I really am so grateful to have fed my babies in such intentional, nourishing, and flexible ways. Each journey was different, but the love and appreciation I have for them both is unmatched.

Mamas, if you’re deep in the weeds with feeding you little one, remember that it’s not forever. There will be a day (sooner than you think) when you’ll be packing away those flanges and feeding supplies!

The light at the end of the tunnel may not feel bright yet, but it is there.

And remember: In the moments between the stress and struggle, soak it all in.

The cuddles, coos, and quiet of those feeds are sacred and special.

No matter how you feed that little one, know that your sacrifices are appreciated, your frustrations are valid, and your accomplishment is worth celebrating!

So for now, I’m giving myself a little pat on the back while I tuck this box away until the next mama in my life needs it! ✌🏼

World Breastfeeding Week came and went this year… all while I got to cuddle and breastfeed my own sweet babe.

As doulas, we say it all the time: Every pregnancy is different. Every birth is different. Every postpartum experience is different. Every feeding journey is different.

And that’s certainly been true for me.

With Cooper, lack of supply, knowledge, and weight gain lead us down the lovely road of exclusively pumping, supplementing with formula when needed. It was the perfect feeding journey for us.

With Carter, we’re feeding in every way there is! Breastfeeding ✔️ pumping ✔️ formula✔️ all of it!

I’m so grateful to have her peacefully feed at the breast. An experience I didn’t quite get to with Coop, and one I’m soaking up as long as I can!

Mamas, caring for a new babe is hard. Feeding your new babe, no matter how you choose to, is hard.

Remember to give yourself grace, be flexible, and celebrate all the big and little wins and milestones!

I feel so incredibly lucky to have the wonderful women of on my birth team.

I always say that the time spent here is so much more than pelvic floor work and birth prep.

It’s wellness, comfort, rejuvenation, and so much more.

My sessions with Natalie are truly healing from the inside, out.

Not to mention how absolutely dreamy the new location is.

I cherish these sessions and my time at Vitalize. Having a phenomenal provider and an even better friend is such a blessing.

I always leave feeling so much better- physically, mentally, and emotionally.
