A big THANK YOU to our friends at Eli Lilly and Company for volunteering their time at Easterseals Crossroads yesterday!

These dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped us clean out and organize a couple of our storage closets, making a big difference behind the scenes!

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like Eli Lilly who give their time and talents to support our organization. Your willingness to lend a helping hand allows us to stay organized and focused on what matters most—serving individuals with disabilities in our community.

: Building a Foundation for the Future!

In 1956, Easterseals Crossroads took a major step forward with the opening of a newly constructed two-story facility at 3242 Sutherland Avenue in Indianapolis!

This new building was more than just a change of address. It represented growth, opportunity, and a commitment to expanding services for individuals with disabilities.

With additional space, the organization was able to significantly expand its programs, including physical, occupational, speech, and hearing therapy, preschool and developmental programs, psychological and social services, vocational evaluation, and employment training.

Last night’s ES Gaming Indy Open Gaming Night and Halloween Party was a SPOOKTACULAR success! 🎃

We had an incredible evening filled with gaming, Halloween fun, and plenty of smiles!

A special THANK YOU to the Circle City Ghostbusters for joining us and helping keep our Gaming Studio ghost-free! They even managed to track down those pesky ghosts hiding in our Pac-Man arcade machine! 👻🕹️

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening so memorable. We love bringing our gaming community together and can’t wait to see everyone at our next Open Gaming Night in December!

Easterseals Crossroads Respite Services is excited to host a Special Teen Night Out Bowling Adventure!

Teens ages 13–17 with disabilities are invited to enjoy an evening of bowling, friendship and fun at Royal Pin Woodland Bowling!

Our Teen Night Out program provides opportunities for teens with disabilities to socialize, build friendships and enjoy exciting activities in a supportive environment while giving caregivers a little time to recharge.

✈️💙 Soaring for Autism: Prepare for Takeoff!

Traveling can be challenging for some children and adults with autism, but preparation can help make the experience more comfortable and familiar. Soaring for Autism gives individuals of all ages and their companions the opportunity to experience key steps of the travel process in a supportive environment.

Join the Autism Society of Indiana for this unique experience designed to help participants build confidence and become more familiar with air travel!

🌟 EMPLOYMENT SPOTLIGHT: The Kell Family 🌟

For the Kell family, the support they received from Easterseals Crossroads was more than just employment assistance, it was life-changing.

The family shares that without the help of our Employment Services team and Family Opportunity Program, they believe they could have faced homelessness.

Our Family Opportunity Program helps families build a brighter, more financially stable future by connecting adult caregivers with meaningful employment opportunities.

Through career counseling, resume development, job placement assistance and more, we’re helping families gain the tools and confidence they need to succeed.

The program serves families with a child with a disability under the age of 18 and an adult caregiver age 18 or older seeking employment.

💙 Every family deserves the opportunity to thrive. The Kell family’s story is a powerful reminder of the difference the right support can make.

Congratulations, Cherise!

Cherise wanted to learn more about healthy lifestyle choices with her Recreation Therapist and set a personal goal to become more active. As part of that commitment, she decided to challenge herself by completing a 5K race.

Over the past 10 months, Cherise has worked hard, stayed dedicated to her training, and remained focused on her goal. On October 10th, she proudly completed the Gourdy's Pumpkin 5K, achieving a personal record with an impressive finish time of 1 hour and 3 minutes!

We are incredibly proud of Cherise's commitment, perseverance, and determination throughout this journey. Congratulations, Cherise, on this amazing accomplishment!

We can't wait to see what goal you conquer next!

I arrived in and love being greeted with a sign! 🎥♿️❤️ I can’t wait for tomorrow’s screening of the ES Disability Film Challenge finalists at Heartland Film festival I’m also excited that The Fish Don’t Care When It Rains •Feature Documentary by Jen Msumba will have its 🌍 premiere tomorrow too!!! I’ll also be on The BOB & TOM Show tomorrow morning sharing some funny stories and promoting the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge and all our incredible success stories!

Yesterday was the perfect day to enjoy some music and fun in our Sensory Garden! Our Adult Day Program participants took advantage of the beautiful weather with an afternoon of karaoke, singing their favorite songs and making wonderful memories together.

At Easterseals Crossroads, we love creating opportunities for our participants to connect, express themselves, and enjoy meaningful experiences. Sometimes, all it takes is a little sunshine and a microphone to make a great day even better! ☀️🎵

As we prepare to celebrate our 90th anniversary, we’re taking a trip down memory lane to reflect on the people, programs and milestones that have shaped our incredible journey!
