Indiana Providers: A Possible New PathWays MCE for 2029

I recently received a call from MHS as they prepare to submit a bid to the State of Indiana. MHS is seeking to either replace a current Managed Care Entity (MCE) or become the fourth MCE serving the PathWays for Aging program beginning in 2029.

They are currently inviting interested providers to sign a nonbinding Letter of Intent. Signing indicates potential interest in joining their provider network but does not create an obligation or contractual commitment.

This could be an important development for Indiana providers and PathWays members. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

The proposed live-in rate changes announced in IHCP Bulletin BT202673 will not take effect. They have been removed from the current waiver amendments, and the bulletin has been rescinded. The State may reconsider rate changes for certain personal care services provided by live-in caregivers in a future waiver amendment.
