If you're working class, you're not living longer. You're dying earlier.
Statistics tell us that Americans are living longer. But there's a troubling reality behind those numbers.
In the United States, people with lower incomes tend to die younger than those with greater financial resources.
Think about that.
While some Americans are enjoying longer, healthier lives, many working-class families are struggling with chronic disease, rising food costs, limited access to nutritious food, and the daily stress of making ends meet.
**Your income should not determine your life expectancy!**
And here's what concerns me most: We are raising another generation in a food environment where ultra-processed products are often cheaper, more convenient, and more accessible than nutritious whole foods.
But we are NOT powerless!
βπΎ **TAKE BACK YOUR POWER!**
Start with what you CAN control.
π₯¦ Choose more whole foods whenever possible.
π₯€ Cut back on sugary drinks and highly processed foods.
π Read food labels. Know what you're feeding your family.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Teach your children healthy eating habits early.
π£οΈ Demand healthier food options in our schools and communities.
We cannot solve every problem through individual choices. Affordable, nutritious food and quality healthcare must be accessible to everyone.
But knowledge gives us the power to make better decisions with the resources we have.
**The goal isn't simply to live longer. It's to live BETTER, with more healthy years to enjoy our children, grandchildren, and the lives we've worked so hard to build.**
Our health is worth fighting for. Our children are worth fighting for. Our future is worth fighting for.
