Have you ever been referred to Dr. Davies in Duluth for a back issue? I have. After several back surgeries, I was preparing for a fifth when I decided to travel to Mexico to take my first Spinal Flow training.

During the hands-on portion of the course, I received three or four short sessions each day for seven consecutive days. After the final session on the third day, I got off the table and noticed a difference: I had feeling in both feet, could bear weight more evenly, and could bend and move. For the first time in a while, I felt a little spark of hope return. I left immersive that day a different person.

That experience changed how I think about the relationship between Spinal Flow and medical care. I deeply respect the expertise and dedication of neurosurgeons like Dr. Davies, not to mention his credentials are outstanding. I believe it’s valuable to keep your medical team informed and involved. Spinal Flow is a complementary wellness practice—not a replacement for medical advice or diagnosis.

In our rural communities, waiting for care can be difficult, especially when pain is affecting everyday life. Some people have chosen to see me while waiting for an appointment, and I’m grateful when they share their experiences. Recently, a client told me that after seeing Dr. Davies, she was advised that her injury was healing on its own, to give it another month, and to continue with Spinal Flow. Hearing that meant a great deal to me, especially coming from him.

I don’t promise outcomes. Each person’s experience is different, and any changes are their own—not something I can guarantee. What I do know is that I’ve seen people experience meaningful shifts in my space, sometimes in ways that feel like a little more comfort, ease, or hope.

If you’ve had surgery with Dr. Davies, or have visited Northern Spinal Flow and noticed pain ease—even a little—please share your experience in the comments.

Over the past year, I’ve been grateful to witness so many beautiful moments of change, and I’d love to celebrate yours too. ❤️

Your nervous system is working around the clock. ⏰not just when you feel stressed.

The brain, spinal cord, and nerves communicate with the body’s organs, muscles, and tissues. This network helps coordinate movement, sensation, and many automatic functions, including breathing, heart rate, and digestion.

That’s why caring for your overall well-being includes paying attention to your nervous system. Everyday supports such as sleep, movement, connection, and time to recover all matter.

At Northern Spinal Flow, we offer gentle, complementary wellness sessions that invite you to slow down and reconnect with your body.

Something your body has been asking for, although you haven’t been listening to it or didn’t know this is what it was asking for.

School is right around the corner, and the question is:

Is your child’s nervous system ready?

Your child may be excited to learn and ready to get back into a routine—but are they ready for the structure, expectations, transitions, and busy days that come with school?

Summer can be wonderful, but it can also bring later bedtimes, inconsistent routines, big emotions, and a little extra chaos. As the first day approaches, now is the time to begin helping your child feel more grounded, regulated, and prepared.

A supported nervous system can help your child feel more settled, focused, confident, and ready to engage with learning and daily routines.

At Northern Spinal Flow, we create space for children to reconnect with their bodies and support nervous-system regulation in a gentle, child-friendly environment.

This school year, give your child more than school supplies. Give them the support to feel calm, connected, and ready to thrive.

Life has been extremely busy and challenging lately, and I want to sincerely apologize for my absence here. As a mother of three, a business owner, and momentarily, a caretaker to my parents, I have been doing my best to navigate each day while managing my own stress levels and caring for my health.

Even during busy seasons, I am reminded why I love the work I do at Northern Spinal Flow.

Have you ever experienced a Spinal Flow session?

One of the most common responses I hear after someone’s first session is that they feel surprised—sometimes even a little “dumbfounded”—by how much they notice from such gentle, subtle contact. Some people feel lightheaded or dizzy during or immediately after their session as their body begins to respond and integrate the experience.

Then, after returning home or checking in later, many people describe feeling lighter.

But what does “lighter” mean?

Perhaps it feels like:

☀️The weight of the world has lifted from your shoulders

☀️You can finally take a deeper breath

☀️You are standing a little taller

☀️You can turn your head more freely

☀️Your body feels less tense and restricted

☀️You feel more connected to yourself

Feeling lighter can mean something different to everyone. Yet when so many people begin their session feeling heavy, stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to navigate the season of life they are in, that shift can be meaningful.

If you have been feeling heavy, stuck in the rut of day to day life, or are navigating health issues, this is your sign to reach out and schedule YOUR FIRST appointment!

Schedule your appointment at Northern Spinal Flow and give yourself the opportunity to pause, reconnect, and support your body through this season.

I often notice the same patterns. Within a short window of time, many people begin reaching out with the same symptoms, I call these seasons. The current season has been……sinus pressure, headaches, migraines, facial tension, fatigue, and that heavy, foggy feeling that makes daily life harder.

If you have ever dealt with sinus pressure or headaches, you may be feeling it more strongly over the last few days. Seasonal changes, allergens, weather shifts, stress, and disrupted sleep can all add to the load your body is already carrying.

I recently worked with a client who had seen ENTs in several states, searching for answers and relief from persistent sinus pressure. Despite multiple appointments, no one had been able to explain what was happening or offer anything that gave her meaningful relief.

After her first Spinal Flow session, she was stunned! For the first time since she could remember, she felt relief. Change.

That moment was not about a miracle claim or forcing a symptom to disappear. It was about her body finally having the opportunity to soften out of a state of constant stress and pressure. When the nervous system has been holding tension for a long time, the effects can show up in many ways—including in the head, face, jaw, neck, shoulders, and breathing.

Spinal Flow is a gentle, nervous-system-focused technique that supports your body’s own ability to regulate, rest, and release what it has been holding.

If migraines, headaches, sinus pressure, or seasonal flare-ups are becoming part of your normal, there may be another path worth exploring.

If you have been seen recently, due to symptoms of sinuses or migraines, tell me about your experience, did you find relief? Did you not? What did you experience? ďżź

This past Fourth of July, I was at a campground and had the honor of doing Spinal Flow on a dog who was shaking from fireworks.

After a short, focused session (about 30 seconds of shaking), the dog physically settled and calmed down.

That moment reminded me of something many people do not realize: Spinal Flow isn’t just for humans. It’s built on a simple principle—any being with a spine has the capacity to experience nervous-system regulation through spinal-based, gentle activation.

Spinal Flow works in a graduated way, aiming to help the nervous system move toward safety without flooding—so the body can shift from a stress response toward a more regulated state.

If you’re wondering whether Spinal Flow could help your animal companion (or you just want to understand more about it), We are trained in a nervous-system-first approach rooted in regulation, not force.

If you’d like to learn more, message us with your question and what you’re seeing (for humans or animals), and I will share what safety-based approach typically looks like in office.

The body often shows regulation first—before the mind fully explains it.❤️
