Today is the 2 year anniversary of Vaughns last dose of chemotherapy!!🎉🎗️❤️
His hospital visits for bloodwork are getting pushed back to every 12 weeks instead of 8😳
Some days it seemed like a lifetime ago and sometimes it seems like just yesterday. I am so thankful we got thru it and his mind and body continue to heal from the trauma

Vaughn is celebrating one year chemo FREE today!!!🎉🎗️🎉
For the last year we have had to go to Iowa City every 4 weeks for a checkup and blood work now he switches to every 8weeks - which is a little nerve wracking for me but so exciting!!
He was Diagnosed with Blastocyst Plasmacytoid Dendritic cell neoplasm on 12/13/21 at 11 years old
He Finished treatment 04/12/24
You would think every day would be easy after battling cancer but the physical and mental effects cancer leaves behind are brutal, everyday he still deals with these invisible scars. Hug someone you know with cancer today Cuz Im sure they need one! - except Vaughn he doesn’t love hugs 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Vaughn had a great summer! He went to soccer try outs, saw a AJR concert in Chicago, played in a sand volleyball league...

Vaughn had a great summer!
He went to soccer try outs, saw a AJR concert in Chicago, played in a sand volleyball league, went to Dave and Busters, got Braces, had his last physical therapy appt, went to lost island water park, went to 6flags, watched his brother graduate HS, helped move him to college, went to Malibu Jacks, had his first dog sitting job, spent alot of time in the pool with friends, had sleep overs, spent time with his cousin Josie swimming, playing games and making cupcakes and he definitely played way too many video games !! And now on to 8th grade - praying the school year goes smooth and we dont have anxiety filled mornings like last year 🤞so thankful he is done with chemo! Heres to a treatment/drug free year!!!

Vaughns doctors and nurses celebrated him finishing treatment!
Since he dosent like being center of attention he opted for a blanket on his head and to focus on the dog😂
