Lisa’s Journey

Lisa’s Journey a page for prayers, positivity, and encouragement during Lisa’s second fight with breast cancer

Finally released from the hospital today. Lisa initially went to the ER on Tuesday, admitted for fever. She ended up having Rhinovirus and Enterovirus. She was given Magnesiun, Potassium, Vancomycin and another antibiotic. She was given a blood transfusion because of her blood count being so low. This is the sickest she has been in the 8 years since her cancer diagnosis. Hopefully this will reset her body, she will have two weeks off from chemo. She meets with Doctor Anderson on the 30th. Hopefully they will discuss lowering her dose of her chemo drug and modify her schedule. The good part of working at UK King’s Daughters is that I was close, went to work, checked in on her at lunch and got to spend the night with her and not have to wake up as early for work.
This was the worst her immune system has gotten and hopefully this is the last time her levels drop this low. Also for those with a bad immune system eating fresh fruits, especially from the container, can almost kill you.
