A Rare “Two-Moon” Night — September 29, 2026!

On September 29, Earth’s Moon will share the sky with 2025 PN7, a small near-Earth asteroid that behaves like a temporary quasi-moon. Unlike our Moon, 2025 PN7 is not gravitationally bound to Earth as a true satellite, but its orbit can make it appear to accompany our planet for a period of time.

It’s a fascinating reminder that Earth’s neighborhood contains more than just our familiar Moon.
