Show up regularly, that’s my no.1 tip to get fitter!

Correct form over heavier weights:
Mastering the movement and engaging the correct muscles is the priority, than just lifting the heaviest weight possible.

Stronger and happier:
There’s no calorie counting or weight-loss talk in class. Our goal is to get stronger, feel good, and have better quality of life.

Fitness with friends:
Classes are relaxed, social, and the participants genuinely enjoy being together. We catch up on life, laugh, and keep each other showing up—because sometimes the FOMO of the class chat is the best motivation.

Are you taking supplements you may not even need? Drinking more sugar than you realize? Confused about how much protein you actually need? Or wondering if all those nutrition rules you hear about are really backed by science?

I highly recommend the nutrition chapter in *Eat Your Ice Cream*. Dr Emanuel, a physician who helped design MyPlate, provides evidence-based, practical nutrition guidance without fad diets or overly restrictive eating rules.

A great read if you want to understand nutrition better and focus on what actually matters—without making food complicated.

Last week at the Issaquah Farmer’s Market, a fellow shopper introduced me to these Flavorful Grenades and told me to eat them while they’re still firm. I never would have bought a plum that firm, but I learned that these are pluots, and she was right about the taste! They’re crisp like an apple, sweet like a plum, and they disappeared in no time in our house!

So this morning, they were added to my shopping list for the market... and I passed the recommendation along to other shoppers who hadn’t tried them before.

That’s what I love about the farmer’s market—chatting with and learning from vendors and fellow shoppers, discovering new fruits and veggies, and finding fresh inspiration to add more variety to my meals.

My 100th Parkrun 5K 😃!

Grateful for the Perrigo community that’s helped me become consistent with running - Parkrun keeps me fit to teach The Plum Path classes and my classes help me work hard in a weekly 5K - they go well together 😉
