Over the past year, we’ve been proud to partner with the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy through the SafeGuard Mississippi initiative.

Together, our pharmacists have provided more than 50 training sessions to nearly 3,500 area high school students, educating them about the dangers of fentanyl, how to recognize an opioid overdose, and how to respond with Narcan.

We’re grateful for the schools that welcomed us and for the opportunity to provide potentially lifesaving education in the communities we serve.

We encourage students, parents, and community members to watch and share the video below, “Fentanyl: The Pills You Need to Know,” from the Song for Charlie One Pill Can Kill campaign, which was included in our SafeGuard training. Last week, we had the opportunity to provide two Safeguard Mississippi presentations to students at Tishomingo County High School.

SafeGuard Mississippi is an educational initiative focused on increasing awareness of the dangers of fentanyl and opioid misuse and preparing students to respond to an opioid overdose. Students learned how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to respond using Narcan.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to equip our local students with knowledge that could help save a life! 💙💙
