Wayne, West Virginia… your do not use order has been lifted… but this IS NOT over.

You need to get water back into your homes… but beware of what you drink… SAFE and regulatory compliant are not the same thing.

While we continue to seek long term solutions… to use water in your homes, you must flush out the system, it’s full of bad stuff… things that have grown in the pipes during the outage.

After water service is restored, flush your home's plumbing by running cold water through all faucets for at least 30 minutes to remove bacteria, metals, and sediment that accumulated in stagnant pipes. Start with the lowest level of your home and progressively open faucets on higher floors, then let all faucets run simultaneously for the full 30 minutes before shutting them down in reverse order. Flushing instructions recommend cleaning aerators and avoiding hot water until the system is completely flushed.

1. Remove aerators, showerheads appliances and bypass filters from all faucets.

Disconnect water softeners if you have one.

2. Close water heater inlet valve.

This prevents additional contaminated water from entering the tank. Flush the water heater thoroughly according to the manufacturer’s recommendation… most have YouTube videos you can follow.

3. Open all cold faucets (lowest to highest).

Start in basement, then upper floors.

4. Run all faucets simultaneously for at least 30 minutes. The water may appear discolored—this is normal.

5. Turn off your faucets in reverse order.

Turn iff off the lowest level first, then work upward.

6. Clean & reinstall aerators. Soak in vinegar if needed.

7. Reopen water heater valve.

Please flush your water heater separately as recommended.

Pre-Flushing Preparation

Before you start, take these critical setup steps to protect your system. Bypass water softeners and whole-house filters, and close the inlet valve on your water heater to prevent contaminated stagnant water from entering the tank.

If your home has water-dependent appliances like refrigerator ice makers, water dispensers, or humidifiers, flush them separately: run ice makers until the first batch is full (then discard), run water dispensers for 5 minutes into a bucket, and replace the water dispenser and ice maker filter.

Refill water heater and reset to desired temperature (typically 120°F)

Do not use hot water for drinking or cooking until flushing is complete.

Innovation is the key to unlocking the future, and what Finland has accomplished with wireless electricity transmission is a true testament to human ingenuity. By successfully transmitting electric power through the air without the need for physical wires, Finland has achieved a monumental technological milestone. This breakthrough opens up endless possibilities for the future, from creating more efficient energy systems to reducing the environmental impact of traditional power transmission.

This advancement highlights the limitless potential of innovation and human creativity. Just as the world once thought the idea of wireless communication was impossible, we are now witnessing the future of energy being redefined. This achievement is a reminder that progress is built on the willingness to challenge what we know and imagine what could be.

As we look toward the future, this success invites us to think bigger. What other aspects of our lives can be reimagined through innovation? Whether it’s in technology, the environment, or social change, this moment in Finland encourages us to consider how we can all contribute to building a better world through progress and imagination.

How do you envision the future of energy or technology? Let’s discuss how innovation is shaping our world and what other boundaries we might be ready to break. ⚡🌍
