Some people leave a mark on a program. Renee helped shape it.

For 21 years, she has been the heart of our residency program, supporting residents through every stage of training and always offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and a steady presence.

Residents past and present came together to celebrate her retirement and the incredible impact she has had on so many lives and careers. While we’ll miss her dearly, we’re excited to see her enjoy this well-earned next chapter.

The OPR WELCOMES Dr. Antoine Keller, the new Division Chief of Cardiac Surgery! Dr. Keller is nationally recognized and brings decades of leadership, innovation & expertise in minimally invasive and structural heart procedures to UMMC.
MORE to KNOW:
A native of New Orleans, Dr. Keller attended Duke Medical School and completed his cardiac surgery training at Carolinas Medical Center. He is the founder of a non-profit organization which integrates grassroots health initiatives with innovative technology to reach underserved communities.

Our Plastic Surgery nurse practitioner, Michelle, recently spent time refining and expanding her knowledge of advanced laser treatments through additional hands-on training. During the session, she was able to perform a NanoPeel treatment for a patient.

We love seeing our team continue to grow their skills and stay committed to providing the best possible care for our patients. 💙
