⭐️🍄 Meet Your Artist 🍄⭐️

Hello!! My name is Anna Wilson or “Adorned by Anna” and I am a piercing apprentice and permanent jewelry artist at Velvet Nyx Studio!

I have been an apprentice for a couple months now and I’ve been loving it! I’ve always been drawn to art and creative things and the work I do at Velvet Nyx has filled a gap for me that I didn’t know needed filling 🖤 My favorite piercings are a forward helix and tragus! I think they’re the perfect compliment to any ear curation ✨

A little about me: I’m currently a sophomore in college studying psychology, and when I’m not busy with school I’m traveling with my boyfriend! We go to concerts and out of state several times a year and are always looking for fun things to do! Every now and then when I have time at home I like to watch a good thriller or play video games with my two spoiled cats by my side 🖤

I can’t wait to see everyone and make you feel a little more adorned!!

Hi! My name is Kara Mckee (Parkerson). I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist and esthetician with a passion for what I do and a genuine love for learning and growth.

I'm known for bringing energy, curiosity, and a positive mindset into everything I do. I'm always focused on making a meaningful and helpful impact.

I love my family and friends to a fault. I love to travel, watch tv, act, and bake. I am married to the loml and together we have a dachshund named roadie, he is my little baby.

My goal as your esthetician and LMT is to make you feel confident and safe in your own skin. i feel that far too often we judge ourselves and our bodies, but i hope to return or embrace the joy of loving yourself in every single person who i have the pleasure of treating:)

🖤✨ GET TO KNOW YOUR ARTIST ✨🖤

Hi, I’m Megan Smith, aka "Megan the Piercer" owner, piercer, and tooth gem artist here at Velvet Nyx.

I’ve been piercing for 3 1/2 years now, and honestly, one of my favorite things about this job is getting to be a small part of someone’s self-expression. I love when someone comes in with an idea and I get to bring it to life. My favorite piercings to do are dermals and ni***es, and I’ll probably never get tired of getting to do them.

A few things about me outside of piercing: I have a German Shepherd, kitties, and a small army of kids. I love books, movies, Halloween, and pretty much anything involving potatoes and ranch. I’m also a self-proclaimed man hater… who somehow has a boyfriend that became my favorite person. 😂

As for Velvet Nyx — I wanted to create a space that felt like me. A little dark, a little weird, a little luxurious, but still comfortable and welcoming. Nyx represents the darker side of transformation, while Velvet brings in the softness and comfort. I wanted Velvet Nyx to be a place where people can come in, be completely themselves, and leave feeling a little more confident in who they are.

So that's me!! The person behind the piercings, tooth gems, questionable jokes, and probably the reason there are black things everywhere in the studio. 🖤
