🥩 Looking for freezer beef? Tomorrow is your chance to support a great kid and bring home exceptional local beef.

Tomorrow (Friday, July 24) at 3:00 PM, Mason’s Market Steer will sell in the Jackson County Junior Fair Livestock Sale.

The best stories are the ones you never plan.

Just over a year ago, we borrowed a calf so Mason could experience showing cattle at our local county fair. We thought it would be a fun project, a chance to learn something new, and maybe make a few memories along the way.

Instead, it changed all of us.

That one borrowed calf led us to the Ohio State Fair, the Ohio Beef Expo, several local jackpot shows, his first show clinic, and a passion for the cattle industry we never expected.

More importantly, it became the catalyst for confidence, responsibility, work ethic, and friendships that will last a lifetime. The blue ribbon and banners are something we’re proud of—but watching Mason grow into the young man he is becoming has been the greatest reward of all.

If you’re looking to fill your freezer with exceptional local beef, we’d be honored if you’d consider supporting Mason tomorrow. Every bid supports not only his project, but the next generation of young people who are passionate about agriculture and preserving a way of life that means so much to our family.

It’s Fair Week!

This is the week these kids have been working toward all year. While most people only see a few minutes in the show ring, they don’t see the early mornings, late nights, feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and the countless hours spent caring for and training their animals.

Good luck to all of the exhibitors this week! Your project is something to be proud of, you’ve already accomplished something special.🍀

Kids are capable of so much more than we often give them credit for.

Let them try.
Let them learn.
Let them make mistakes.
Let them build the confidence they’ll carry for the rest of their lives.

Today, Lucas (8) is running the skid steer, and Mason (13) is running the hay wrapper. They’re not just helping on the farm—they’re learning responsibility, problem-solving, and the value of hard work.
