Earlier this month, Oceans Behavioral Hospital Jackson & Oceans Behavioral Hospital Biloxi Market Development team members attended the 2026 Mississippi SHRM Conference.

From the presenters and the planned activities to the hospitality of all the MS SHRM staff, it was a wonderful event.

It was extremely insightful to learn about the mental health resources businesses and companies are utilizing in their workplace, as well as what opportunities there are to bring more in.

Our Market Development Director and Community Liaison recently had the opportunity to connect with the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline / Contact the Crisis Line team in Mississippi to share more about the programs and services available at Oceans Behavioral Hospital - Jackson.

By strengthening connections with community partners, we can help ensure individuals in need are connected to the right level of behavioral healthcare as quickly as possible. Our mental health professionals are available 24/7 to support referrals for inpatient psychiatric treatment and help connect individuals with outpatient services.

Our Market Development Director and Director of Outpatient had the opportunity to present to team members at RTX Raytheon Intelligence and Space about recognizing when someone may be struggling with their mental health and how to connect with available resources.

The group was engaged, welcoming and open to learning more about supporting mental well-being in the workplace. Work and life can both bring stress, but listening with compassion and offering support can help remind others that they do not have to face difficult moments alone.

Last Saturday, Walkforlives brought together people who have lived through the heartbreak of fentanyl poisoning, professionals working on the front lines, and voices of recovery and hope. The speakers shared real experiences, real loss, and real hope for change.

Sometimes the journey to healing begins from hearing someone else's struggles and challenges, but more importantly their successes. 💚

At Walk for Lives, it provided the opportunity to connect with treatment providers, recovery organizations, mental health professionals, and community resources ready to support anyone ready to take the next step in recovery.
