Today we got to meet with the MS Systems Change in Inclusive Health Advisory Council to review the current draft of the State Work Plan. This work is possible through the Special Olympics Systems Change for Inclusive Health. We are working with communities, agencies, policy makers, elected officials, and others to advocate for changes that will increase inclusion, access, and welcoming of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in all places in MS. Look for the final State Plan the Healthy Living in MS section of our website soon https://www.mspha.org/healthy-living-in-mississippi/. Our work is supported in part by the Special Olympics System Change for Inclusive Health subgrant, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The contents of this project are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention or the Department of Health and Human Services.
