Join us for an evening of rhythm, connection, and renewal.

Elaine Charles holds and gently guides our drumming circle, creating a nurturing space in which we can listen, participate, and experience the living quality of rhythm together.

Through rhythm and attentive listening, we become more aware of the **elemental forces of nature—the living qualities of earth, water, air, and warmth—and of our own connection with the world around us.** The drum can help us find a rhythm that is both deeply grounded and quietly enlivening.

Our circle has its own particular character and rhythm. We come together not simply to drum, but to cultivate presence, connection, and a deeper awareness of ourselves, one another, and the living world.

No previous drumming experience is necessary. Each person is welcomed into the circle as they are, allowing the rhythm to unfold and carry us together.

Tonight is the lunar eclipse, which should be visible here in Jacksonville, weather and cloud cover permitting. The eclipse begins around 9:20 PM, with the partial eclipse starting around 10:30 PM and reaching its peak shortly after midnight, around 12:12 AM. It will continue into the early morning hours.

The forecast is calling for some rain and clouds, but there may still be opportunities to catch a glimpse, especially around and shortly after midnight if the clouds break.

It’s a good thing to stay connected with nature and simply be aware of what is happening around us—to pause and follow it for a little while.

I thought I’d share, although most of you are probably already aware of it. 🌙
